I wake up and my head is pounding
"Hello Ms. Petrov, I will inform the Avengers that you have awoken" Jarvis says
"Actually I would prefer it if you wouldn't" I say
"I'm sorry but I have orders from Mr. Stark" he responds
"It would make me much more comfortable if you didn't" I say
"Well if that's the case then I shall not inform them, I hope you enjoy your stay here in the tower" the AI finishes
I walk downstairs quietly and hear something
I look around the corner and see them all including Fury looking at something on the Tv
A recording?
I walk closer and I see the worst moment of my life playing on the screen
"What's the big deal? We did that sort of thing all the time" Natasha asks
"It's the woman she's about to kill" Fury says
"Why, who is she?" Steve asks
"My mother" I say coming out from behind the wall and walking towards the screen
I watch as my shaky hand rises with the gun in my hand
The noise of the gunshot echos through the room as I watch the life leave my mother's body
"I told you my graduation ceremony was worse" I say sighing quietly
"You killed your own mother?" Steve asks with venom in his voice
"Yes" I say after a short pause, keeping my eyes trained on the screen
The younger me was now crying hysterically and being held by Madam B as my mother's body got dragged away
"Does it look like she had a choice?" Wanda said putting her arm on Steve
He looks down at her with an angry face but accepts her gesture and lets her lean on him
"I'm sorry" Natalia says
"We should've tried harder. We should've gotten you out faster" she finishes sadly
"There's no need to be sorry Natalia. There's no use to feeling sorry about something you can not change" I tell her
"You feel sorry" Wanda says
"What?" I ask confused
"You feel sorry, about your past" she says again
I go to open my mouth but Loki beats me to it
"You're sorry for the things you've done in your past. So how can you say not to feel sorry when you yourself do?" he asks me gently
"There's a distinct difference between what she is sorry for and what I am sorry for" I say
"Like the fact that you killed thousands of people" Steve says
