Fernando finally spoke said

"What's the target's name?"

I took a deep breath before saying.

"Emma Lopez"

*Alessandro POV*

A glimmer of hope flashed across the boy's faces before they masked it with their stone-cold glares.

"Now listen," I continued, "Whatever you do, do not get your hopes up. Emma is not who you think she is."

Technically I said that last part to them, but it was really more to convince myself.

Once they realized that I was done talking, the boys just nodded their heads and walked out of my office, presumably going to get ready for their next mission.

*Marco POV*

I went to the workout room and started punching the bag as hard as possible, trying to escape my thoughts. Still, they found a way to weasel themselves through.

"Was this "Emma," actually our Eva?"

"What if this actually wasn't our sister?" I just punched the bag ever harder at that thought. But the final one was the scariest.

"What if she hates us?"

*Dante POV*

I needed to get this "Emma" girl off of my mind.

I know Alessandro said that she wasn't who we thought she was, but what if he was wrong?

I quickly squashed that thought by shooting another target.

I missed Emma, but the more I pretended I didn't, the less I missed her.

*Fernando POV*

Unlike everyone else in this house, I didn't automatically resort to violence to escape from my thoughts.

While it is true that I had our next target on my mind, I did not want to think about her, so I went to the one place I can go to escape from my thoughts.

A bar.

I drove to one, probably breaking every single speed limit with my camera on the seat next to me.

*Emma POV*

My life right now felt like something out of a Wattpad book.

There was no way that this was happening.

Just this morning, I had been an ordinary girl who lived with her abusive foster father, just waiting for 2 more years when I could finally escape this hellhole.

Now, well, I find out that I am actually the sister to the CEOs of the 10 wealthiest and most influential companies in the country.

But whatever, right? It's not like they will want to adopt me anyways.

I'm just a girl from a Texas town that knows nothing.

We couldn't be more different.

They wouldn't come to get her, right?

With that comforting thought in mind, she walked inside the class, eager to start learning.

But, oh, how wrong she was.

*Emma POV*

It was now Friday, which meant I just had to survive one more day before I was out of here. I was so ready because all week I had this weird feeling like someone was watching me.
