Chapter 16 - Guama Forest

Afianna's POV

Exactly 3:00 pm, everyone is all present at the front gate of the academy. And someone has a very bad mood.

"You'll be travelling by horse." Maestro Silver said while fixing his glasses. "And be sure to finish the mission within three day. No more, no less."

Maestro Silver is the only teacher present here at the gate. Pinapaalala niya sa amin kung ano ang kailangan naming gawin at bawal gawin. He said earlier that we cannot just teleport directly to the forest because that would be reckless.

"Travelling by horse would take you 5 hours at most. Now go and look out for yourselves." He said. And it serves us as a cue to ride our horses.

There are 10 horses and I chose to ride the pretty white horse.

"Please be good to me."  I relayed using telepathy while patting his head. I smiled when it happily gallop.

Nangunguna si Orium sa pagpapatakbo habang nasa pinakahulihan ako.

I must avoid him as much as possible because this is getting dangerous for my health. Naku naman eehhh! May pa ano-ano pa kasi siya ehh.

I shake my head continuously before focusing on the road. And try not to overspeed the others.

"Afi!" I heard Gelo shout.

And here comes an idiot.

"Let's race!" Masiglang sigaw niya na nakikita ko pang nakangisi ito.

"You never learn, Gelo." I said telepathically.

"I do! Pakasal na tayo!" At ngumisi siya ng pagkalaki-laki.

Bigla namang napalingon sa akin silang lahat na nanglalaki ang mga mata.

"What the!" Sigaw ko rito.

"Yiiiee! Mahal din kita!"

Narinig ko naman ang halakhak at hagikgikan ng mga kasama ko.

Nakakainis tong lalaking to! Lies! Lies! Lies! Damn him.

"Hey. Follow the others okay?" I talk to the horse. Nakita ko naman na tila naiintindihan niya ang sinabi ko.

I stand up on the horse back and tried to balance myself at the top. I jump so high and make small water platforms at the top for me to step into and run quickly towards Gelo. And landed successfully at the back of his horse.

"Idiot." Sabi ko bago ko siya binatukan ng malakas.

"Aray!" Daing niya. "Kailan ka pa nandiyan, Afi?!"

"Drive well." Sabi ko na lamang habang nakatayo sa likuran at binabalanse ang aking sarili upang hindi mahulog.

"Afi! Baka mahulog ka. Umupo ka or bumalik ka na sa kabayo mo." Pag-alala sa akin ni Carmen.

"Afi! Paturo naman!"

"Ang cool!"

"Mag-iingat ka!"

Iba't ibang reaksyon ang aking naririnig ngunit ito ay aking binalewala at tumingin sa daan.

The road is bumpy and rough kaya medyo nahirapan ang mga kabayo sa pagtakbo. We already pass many hills and rivers and we are travelling 3 hours continuously now. It seems taking a break is forbidden.

"Gem, hindi pa ba tayo magpapahinga? Tatlong oras na tayong naglalakbay ohh. Pagod na ako, at mas lalong pagod na ang sinasakyan kong kabayo." Reklamo ni Vanilla.
