Karna sat on the windowsill of Ang Palace chamber's wondering what to do. He very well knew that Duryodhan was wrong and he had to get punishment for his deeds. On the other hand, when the whole humanity was against him, he was the one who gave him a helping hand.

A soft hand was placed on his shoulder,

"Vrushali?" Karna muttered

"What happened, Arya?" Vrushali asked worried

"Still trying to choose between the Pandavas and Kauravas...." Karna cried

"Why? Can't you unite them? After all they are brothers, aren't they?" his wife questioned

"No, they aren't. They are enemies. I am waiting for the Pandavas to come back from their Vanvas. I have to discuss with them about taking part in the war and whose side should I take..." Karna cried

"Arya, do you know why all the people call you a sutputr?" Vrushali asked

"Because I AM..." Karna stopped in between. His wife was very intelligent and spiritual [a little dominating too ;) ]

"So...I am going to be the charioteer," Karna chuckled

Vrushali nodded and was surprised when she felt his warm hug around her.

"Vrishasen was talking about some astras. which I have no idea about, obviously," Vrushali chuckled

Karna smiled "I will talk to him....and by the way, I have to go to Panchaal Kingdom to meet the kids...I mean Upapandavas...and  Abhimanyu...." Karna said as he picked his favourite mangoes from nearby

"Arya....Don't you think Mamashree Shakuni is plotting something against you?" Vrushali asked with a frown and continued

"Do you think it is safe to meet the Upapandavas right now? Vasudev, King Drupad, Prince Drishtadyumn and princess Shikhandini will be there to take care of them...." Vrushali cried and was surprised to see Karna silent

"Don't you think Mamashree Shakuni is plotting something?" Vrushali raised her voice with her hands on her hips frowning at him.

"It's an obvious yes," Karna cried smiling

"So do not go to Panchal till I feel you are safe," Vrushali said and went out of the chamber

"As you say, Maharani!" Karna laughed at his cutely dominating wife.

Karna was happy looking at his son Vrishasen practicing archery without getting tired.

"That's enough for today Vrishasen!" Karna shouted

The boy smiled at his father and ran towards him to touch his feet.

"Ayushman Bhava" Karna placed his hands on his son's head and both father and son walked into the garden of Angdesh.

"Which side are you going to take father,?" Vrishasen asked

"Prince Duryodhan's side," Karna said shocking his son

"But...but he...he tried to disrobe mother Panchali....are you supporting him, father?" Vrishasen was shocked

"I am going to be his charioteer..." Karna smiled

Vrishasen let out a satisfactory sigh. The eleven year old was happy for his father.

"I will drive Abhimanyu's chariot..." He chuckled

Karna asked "Why?"

"Because he is an awesome archer. He shows an awesome competence. I mean, father, he is a prodigy. He knows how to break Chakravyuh!" Vrishasen excitedly said.

"I am very happy that you appreciate others instead of being jealous.... " Karna smiled and sat next to a beautiful fountain that adorned the palace gardens.

"Sit here,"

"Remember, child. Never disrespect a living being, a woman or man, that doesn't matter," Karna cried

Vrishasen nodded

"But father, what about women who are charecterless? ... I mean prostitutes?" Vrishasen asked

Karna calmly replied

"Who told you that prostitutes are characterless?" Karna questioned

Vrishasen was dumbfounded for a while.

"Father?" He muttered questioningly

"Everyone has their own choice of how to live their lives. Who are we to judge them? We know that Vaishyas  get ready to give pleasure in return of money, but that doesn't give us right to disrespect them or harm them. We do not have the right to force ourselves upon a woman just because she is a prostitute. We have no right to harm anyone's feelings. Do you know why this war is going to happen?" Karna asked

"To take revenge....for the insult...."

"Revenge, is not the word, son. Justice is the correct word. We all have to give justice to the life that has been harmed. After all, she is also a life too. No living creature can be harmed. When you worship your bow which is non-living, why can't you worship every soul?"Karna placed his hands on the boy's shoulder

"What is right and what is wrong, father?" Vrishasen asked

"Because justice for some people will be an injustice for many others....For example, many people will die in the battle, many women will be widowed for the justice of one woman. Many children will become fatherless and many mothers will lose their sons. Is this called justice? Can't this justice be done in the court where the injustice was done? Is it right to kill many innocent lives for the sake of establishing righteousness?" Vrishasen questioned

"Father, you have always taught me about compassion and to respect other souls. But isn't the war uncompassionate itself? Will mother Draupadi be happy if she loses one of her dear ones?"

Karna began to think deeply. His son was right. "What is right and what is wrong,?" he questioned himself trying to figure out what explanation he would give, to his young son.
