A/N - This chapter is going to have a ton of random musical opinions from throughout the decades and is going to be a musical education for our sweet Captain. I hope you all enjoy it.

The look of pure determination as you marched into the shared living area of Stark Tower was enough to startle Steve. But the shock seemed to fade when you slumped down onto the sofa beside him, dumping your portable speaker onto the seat between you.

"What's this?" he murmured, watching as you finally smiled.

"I'm giving you a lesson on music history," you stated, as if it was the most simple thing in the world. "You're missing out on an entire world of entertainment, and it's driving me insane that you don't get any of my references."

A small chuckle slipped out of Steve's lips as he shifted to sit a little more comfortably. "Okay."

"Perfect," you uttered, pulling your phone out of your pocket and poking at the screen a couple of times. "We'll start with some Frank Sinatra," you continued, smiling up at him when the music began playing from the speaker. "He's probably one of the most popular singers of all time."

Steve nodded at your comment, his brow furrowed as he listened intently. "This sounds pretty old."

"It is," you responded quickly. "Or at least, this one, 'That's Life' was released in '66, so it's pretty old."

"It's good," he murmured, watching as you practically bounced with happiness at his comment.

"He was amazing," you gushed, a grin fixed on your face. And then you had your head buried in your phone again. "How about-" you paused for a moment, a soft hum filling the space between you. "-some Solomon Burke. Same sort of era, slightly different genre."

The new tune began drifting around the room, and Steve couldn't help but smile as you nodded along to the music, shifting on the spot as though you were physically restraining yourself from dancing. "What's it called?" he started, startling you back to the music.

"This one is 'Cry to me' but he's more well known for 'Everybody needs somebody to love'. He was just so iconic." You paused for a moment, and Steve watched you carefully. "What do you think?"

For a second, Steve couldn't think at all, his mind swirling as he pulled his eyes away from you. "He's got a great voice," he finally choked out, watching as you nodded your agreement.

Out of nowhere, your eyes widened. "Elvis," you cried out softly, shaking your head. "How could I forget the King of Rock and Roll?"

"He called himself the King?" Steve murmured raising an eyebrow at your comment.

"No, everyone else called him King, and he accepted very willingly," you corrected with a small chuckle. The song changed a moment later, a faster tune beginning. "He's literally never stopped being relevant. His music is incredible."

"He sounds a little pretentious," Steve teased, watching as you forced a serious expression onto his lips.

"Women used to throw their underwear at him, because he was so hot," you murmured, shrugging slightly. "I think you'd get a little pretentious too."

Steve snorted with laughter at your comment. "They threw their underwear?"

"Yeah, it was way more common than you'd think." You leant back as the music continued, smiling to yourself. "He did this pelvic thrust dance move and the girls just lost their minds for him."

Steve was chuckling again as you lifted your phone. "What's next?" he uttered, shifting to look at the screen with you.

"I'm thinking something by Fleetwood Mac," you hummed, your finger gliding across the screen. "Everything got way more experimental in the 70s," you added, finally clicking a song. "Stevie Nicks was incredible on all of their songs, but I genuinely think that Rhiannon is just a whole different level."
