A change (sequel to New Beginning?)

Chapter 4

Max's POV

That was close. Hopefully I can keep this thing from her. I've been planning it for a really long time. Hopefully this will all work into plan. I told Mallory that I had to go visit my brother tomorrow, which is half true. I hope she doesn't find out. I really wanna see the look on her face.

Mallory's POV

Max had just left and I was bored. It was 10 at 11 at night and everyone was already in their rooms. I decided to go out into the backyard and just stare at the stars. I got up from my bed, grabbed my fluffy warm blanket that was a shade a light pink and a one of my throw pillows on my bed. I grabbed my phone and walked out of my room. I turned the flashlight on my phone on and headed out to the backyard.

I finally reached outside and the ice cold air immediately slapped me in the face. I put on my slippers by the door and walked to the trampoline. I unzipped it, took off my slippers, and went inside.

I set my pillow down and laid down gazing up above at the pretty lights.

I heard the sliding door open again and saw that it was Cameron. We had little lights around our pool and a sensor light that turned on so it wasn't completely dark.

Cam walked up to the trampoline.

"What are you doing out here? It's freezing" he said

"That's why I have a blanket, duhh" I said giggling

"Ha. Ha. But seriously, is anything wrong?" He asked

"Nope, just bored" I said

"Oh okay, I thought there was something wrong and you came out here to get your mind off something and I wanted to make sure you were okay" cam said

I smiled at his sensitivity.

"I'm fine, thanks cammy." I said

"You're welcome" he said smiling

"Why are you still up?" I asked

"Don't feel like sleeping." He chuckled "mind if I join you?" He asked

"Not at all" I said bouncing over a little to make more room.

"Wait." He said walking back to the house.

He came back with another blanket and some chips.

"Smart guy cammy" I said

"I know" he said chuckling and making his way on the trampoline.

First, we ate chips and talked about life. When we were getting tired, we decided to sleep out here like we did when I was young.

We laid down and I snuggled up to Cameron and he held me since it was cold. We didn't mind though. Then, sleep took over me.
( whatever cute moments Mallory has with one of the guys like this, don't think of it as a 'dating' kind of thing. It's just like how she was when she was young)

I woke up to the sun shining down on my face. I stirred around and sat up. I looked over to see Cameron and we were outside. Then everything came back to me at once. Cam also got up and sat up.

"Just like old times" I said

"Yeah" cam said smiling and giving me a side hug.

We gathered the blankets, pillow, and left over chips and went back into the house.

"Get ready Cam, we have a meeting" Nash said

"Oh yeah, that's today" Cam said

"Ohh cam" I said shaking my head laughing

"Mal, you forget things all the time" he said

"No I don't" I said

"Where's your phone?" He asked

Crap.

I ran outside to the trampoline and it wasn't there. I turned around and saw Cameron shutting the door.

"Cameron!" I yelled running to the door, but her locked it.

"Cam! Get ready" I heard Matt yell

"Oops, sorry Mal. I have to get ready" he said starting to leave

Then I remembered we have a spare key at the front of the house under the second flower pot. I ran all the way to the from and lifted the second flower pot a little. Bingo!

I took the key and unlocked the front door quietly.

I placed the key back and went inside. I saw Cameron searching for me at the sliding door. He called my name 3 times and I quietly just stayed in the back of him.

He unlocked the door and took a strip outside calling my name. I quickly pushed him and shut the sliding quickly locking it.

I bursted into laughter and clutched my stomach.

"Okay Mal, you win" Cameron whined

I unlocked the door and hugged Cam.

"I got you!" I said

"Yeah yeah" he said picking me over his shoulder and walking up the stairs.

He put me down and gave me back my phone and I went to my room. I guess I'll be home alone today. Dad guys are going to their friends party and I hate it. They're too much alcohol and drunk people. Dad doesn't let me go.

They only go a couple times a year to parties like this, so it's good that dad and the guys still have fun. As for me, I've been to one of the parties and hated it. It was so squished in there and people were sweaty and drunk.

Maybe one day I'll go again, but not today.

"Bye Mal" I heard Nash, Cam, Matt, and Carter say

"Bye!" I yelled

I heard their car turn on and they left.

"Mal were leaving now, since it's a 3 hour drive and it's already 1" dad said

"It's 1 already?" I asked

"Yeah, you and Cam slept in today outside" he said

"Well okay, have fun" I said walking up to him and hugging him. I said bye to Sarah, Lia and the rest of the guys and laid back down in my bed.

I know Max couldn't come today because he's busy today. Then I got thinking on what I could do. I know! Be the lazy person I am and watch Netflix!

I ran downstairs and got 3 cans of Arizona, chips, and candy. I grabbed my laptop and my charger and turned on supernatural.

This is gonna be a good day.
