Today was the day. Officially. The day.

My lawyer stood next to me, pushing my hat down and making sure I was covered completely. "Y/n, please. I know you want to talk to Taehyung, but now isn't the time."

"Not even for good luck?"

Ms. Moon nodded her head side to side, signaling a negative response. I looked down and fidgeted with my fingers nervously as she studied her evidence one last time.

We were at court. I still haven't told the world yet that I was indeed alive and standing outside this door for any longer could bring me into a state of insanity. But on the contrary, excitement filled my veins thinking about the look on administrator Kim's face.

Our only problem was making sure Taehyung didn't get in trouble in the midst of it. I knew he was forced, at this point in time I had no doubt about it. Especially that Taehyung had made it plain and clear to us that he wanted nothing to do with Mr. Kim's company.

"Ready?" Ms. Moon opened the door for me and followed me in as the quieted court room laid eyes on me. I still had my hat and mask on that covered my face well, leaving the entire court room in bustling curiosity.  "Your honor, I am here on behalf of Kim Taehyung who accuses Mr. Kim of attempted murder on his girlfriend, L/n Y/n." We stood in our respected position and right next to me stood Taehyung who looked straight ahead silently.

From the corner of my eye, I saw Mr. Kim looking my way, obviously just as curious as the rest were. His ready lawyer looked confident to take on anything with his clean suit and tie, but what evidence could they honestly counter with once they see me? I smelled Taehyung's cologne and comfort shot through me.

"One of our witnesses that will join us today is Y/n L/n herself." That was my cue. Slowly, I lifted my hands to grab a hold of my bucket hat and mask, but something inside of me hesitated as questions began to fill my mind.

What if things don't turn out the way we think they will? What if Mr. Kim manages to go free and eventually does find a way to kill me? Or worse, hurt Taehyung.

Just as those questions came flooding through, I felt a soft reassuring grasp on my hand that pleaded for me to be brave. Desperate. Pleading.

I continued with a shaky breath, pulling off the hat and mask. Gasps were heard across the entire room and I turned to look at Mr. Kim whose mouth hung open in shock.

"That— there's— HOW?" His lawyer glared at his gawking expression and attempted to recollect him back to his seat.

"Silence in the court!" The judge banged his wooden hammer, silencing the murmuring court room, "Y/n, if I'm not wrong, you have quite a story to tell us based upon this report. Would you please step onto the witness podium?"

"Yes your honor."

Every step I took only echoed louder and louder in that quiet room as I got closer to the brown podium. All eyes were on me as if they had all just seen a ghost— And technically I was.

An officer approached me and motioned for me to put my right hand up, "Do you swear to tell the truth and only the truth?"

My gaze met Mr. Kim's and without hesitation I answered, "I swear."

"Very well, let's begin." And the officer stepped away while Ms. Moon stepped in front of me.
