It was 9:30pm. You were sitting on your couch in you favorite pair of pajamas eating cookies you just made. Brooklyn 99 was playing on your TV while you were online shopping. A typical Thursday night. Suddenly, your front door to your New York apartment swings open to reveal your best friend Timothée. His hair was messy and his eyes were wide.

"I can't fucking believe this." He shouted as he B- lined to the fridge. You were incredibly confused. He opened your fridge and stared at it for a second. "Do you have any Arizona?" He asks you in a soft voice. "Of course i do. Behind the coffee creamer." You always kept "his tea" at your house because it was his favorite."Ok but Timmy what the fuck is wrong you. Are you ok?" You said, getting up from your spot on the couch after you turned off the TV. He turned around and looked at you with tears in his eyes. "She cheated on me." was all he said. Your heart shattered. Timmy started dating Veronica about six months ago. You introduced them, which hurt because you always had feelings for Timmy. But Veronica made him happy so you put on a smile for you best friend. Seeing Timmy on the verge of tears did something to you. Sure, he was soft but he didn't really cry. You opened your arms  and Timmy ran into them. He towered over you, but you still wrapped him in a consoling hug.

"I-i don't know what i d-did wrong." He sobbed into you. You pulled him to the couch where he hugged you tightly. "Timmy you did nothing wrong. I saw the way you treated her, you were always so loving towards her and looked at her like she's the only girl in the world. Anyone would be lucky for someone to love them half as much as you loved her." You meant every word of it. The way he admired her, kissed her hands, held her close, it all broke a little piece of you heart every time you saw how much he loved her. "It wasn't l-love. I know you saw all the c-cute parts but i-i'm so stupid. She obviously didn't w-want me and i didn't want her." He started calming down as you rubbed his back lovingly. "I'm so sorry Timmy. You deserve the world and not some bitch that thinks she can find a better guy. You are perfect. She's the stupid one for not accepting your love. The kind of love you give is so rare. She's so so so stupid for that." He raised his head up and looked into your eyes. "What do you mean my love is rare?"

You admired his green eyes that you fell more in love with everyone you looked at. "Your love is different. It genuine, it's warm, it's safe, and it's yours. Your love is perfect. She's so fucking stupid to see it doesn't get any better than you and your love. You have to have no brain cells left not to love you back. Love like yours comes once in a lifetime Timmy." You looked into his eyes again and it was like you could see the wheels turning in his head. You started playing with his soft brown curls. He sat up, still holding onto you tight, started tearing up again and said in almost a whisper "Do you love me back?" A single tear streaming down his face. "Of course i love you back! You never have to ask that. I love you so much and you know that. I don't know what i'd do without my best friend. Probably die." You let out a giggle. A small smile presented it self on his perfect face. He stared into your eyes again. "I know what happened." He said to you. "Enlighten me." You say to him. "I didn't love her all the way, something was holding me back. My heart didn't belong to her. I was wishing she was someone else the whole time." You looked at him confusingly. "What do you mean T?" He brushes the hair covering your eyes away from your face. "My heart belongs to you Y/N." You let out a shaky breath. "W-what?" You say to him, in shock. He then pulls you into a sweet and passionate kiss.

"My heart belongs to you."
