Chapter 19 🏇

Jimin and I snap our heads towards the large archway of the kitchen to see Taehyung standing there, smirking.
I was sitting on the counter with Jimin standing in between my legs with his hands around my waist and mine wrapped around his neck.
Jimin closes his eyes in frustration and says,
" What the hell do you want? "
" Nothing... " He says smirking and walks slowly towards us and sits on a stool of the counter.

" Why are you even awake? " Jimin says in annoyance.
" I could ask you two the same thing.." Tae says with a smirk plastered on his face.
Jimin groans in frustration and I knew he was annoyed at the interruption of our little....session.

I run my fingers through his hair because I know he likes it and it calms him down. He closes his eyes and sighs at the feeling of my fingers gliding through his soft ash brown locks. I get up and sit next to Taehyung and Jimin joins us too.

Taehyung suddenly faked a disappointed face and says,
" I can't believe you almost threw away your V card on a kitchen counter Y/N.. "
I smile and smack his shoulder.
" I wasn't. "
Jimin raises his eyebrow and leans back into the chair.
" You weren't? "

A blush makes its way up onto my cheeks and I shake my head.
" I promised myself that I would only lose it after marriage.. "
Jimin scoffed and said,
" I can never wait that long. "
I smack him and he laughs.
" Well, too bad! "
Taehyung and Jimin start talking and laughing about something but your eyes fall back onto the view of the field as vivid memories of night sprinting across played like a movie in front of you.

You didn't even notice Tae calling you until a hand landed on your shoulder, shaking it gently. You snap out of the trance and look at Tae.
" Yes? "
" I was calling you so many times! " He exclaims and draws his hand back.
Jimin had observed your actions silently and he followed his gaze to where yours was fixed.

His eyes soften in realization of what you were thinking about and he slowly takes your hand.
You flinch at the sudden action but intertwine your fingers with his immediately.
" Y/N.. are you coming to the academy tomorrow? "
I forgot about that... Should I go? Well, I do miss the others..
I nod and his concern grows.
" Are you sure? Because- "
" Yea I'm sure. "
" Night will be there.. " Tae says with a low voice to me.
My face brightens. " All the more reason for me to go! "

Tae sighs and shakes his head.
" He will be going through the test Y/N. And I'm not sure you would want to see that. "
My smile fades and I say,
" But why would I not want to see it? It's just a test.. "
" I thought seeing Night in the test would... Worsen your condition. " Tae says, careful with his choice of words.

I hum and tap my finger on my chin.
Ok, well if they don't want me to see him during the test, I can always see him after that, right?
" I'll be able to see him after right? "
Jimin and Tae exchange glances and nod. " Yes. If he passes, he'll be in one of the academy stables... But if he doesn't... "
I furrow my eyebrows.
" If he doesn't? "
" He will be sold to anyone willing to buy him.. "
My eyes widen in shock.
" What?! "
Jimin looks at the floor and I turn to Tae.
" Sold to anyone?! B-but he's mine! "
" Technically, he WAS yours.. after your dad sold him, he doesn't belong to you anymore. "

I opened my mouth trying to say something but words betrayed me and all I could release was a shaky breath. Jimin rubs the top part of my palm with his thumb in circles in order to calm me down.
Why?... Out of all the people.. why does this happen to me?
Jimin sighs and says,
" Babe, I'm pretty sure he'll pass the test.. you don't have to worry. "
" Well, either ways I'm still losing him."
Silence fell upon the three of us as we grasped the hardcore reality of the situation. Suddenly, Tae's eyes light up and looks at us.
