As soon as James was completely healed, I brought up to him the question of where to drop him off. James was hesitant, so I decided to speak up, offering a place where he would want to return.
"Port Royal?" I suggested.
"No, not there." He replied, baffling me. "...Somewhere like Tortuga."
I furrowed my brows. "Tortuga? Are you sure, James? You know we could always use a sailor like you in our crew."
"Oh no, I possibly can't." James mentioned. "I'm better off on that island...alone."
My heart clenched at his words. I extended out a hand, placing it on his shoulder. "You shouldn't blame yourself for that hurricane."
He shrugged my arm off his shoulder. "But it is my fault. I ordered my crew into the hurricane to pursue your brother. Thanks to him, I nearly lost my life and don't even get me started on my reputation."
"James, I-" I began.
However, James cut me off. "Just leave me in Tortuga...please."
Reluctantly, I decided not to argue with him and to let him leave my ship. Once we reached, Tortuga, I watched as James walked out of my ship. As he walked onto the harbor, I turned my back, making my way to my quarters. Little did I know that he turned back to look at me.

Weeks went by, since James walked off my ship. I hadn't heard from or even seen him around, which I couldn't help but worry. But why should I be so worried? I offered James a position on my ship and he turned me down. There was nothing more I could do, and yet that didn't stop me from thinking about James.
"Do we have a heading?" Darya questioned.
We should be searching for treasure or ancient powerful relics, but upon thinking of James, I couldn't help but blurt out the place where I last saw him. I hope I don't regret this...
"Aye, head for Tortuga." I ordered.
"Head for Tortuga!" Darya echoed.
And with that, we made our way towards Tortuga. Once we reached the island, my crew and I made our way to the cantina, the Twelve Daggers. As soon as we were inside, I found Gibbs sitting on a stool behind a desk. Jack sat nearby, staring at his compass with a frustrated look. They're definitely up to something. With that in mind, I decided to approach them.
"What's your story?" Gibbs questioned as he looked down at his piece of parchment with names written down in ink.
"Well, I'm certain you already know my story." I mentioned.
Gibbs looked up, rather baffled. His eyes then lit up. "Cordelia. Good to see you again, lass."
"It's good to see you as well, Gibbs." I replied. "By the way, what are you and Jack up to?"
"What? Why would you assume we're up to something?" Gibbs inquired, getting nervous.
"Perhaps it's intuition. Or maybe I just know you both too well." I stated.
Gibbs chuckled. "...Uh, yeah. Maybe it's best you not know about this."
I raised an eyebrow. "And why's that?"
Gibbs struggled to find the right words as he began stuttering. "Uh, well, you see...Jack's in quite a predicament."
"Isn't he always?" I pointed out.
At that moment, Jack approached us before Gibbs could say anything. Jack gave me a smile. "Ah Delia, what are you doing here?"
"It's a cantina, Jack." I retorted. "I'm a pirate, I'm here to drink."
