We woke up rather late this morning which really isn't a surprise considering how tired we've been the past couple days. To mine and Sonic's surprise Tails had already left to his workshop and left a note on the fridge in which he apologized for not having any food at the house as he didn't have time to go to buy any during Eggman's stay over here. So seeing as there wasn't anything to eat at Tails' shack at the moment, Sonic suggested that we could eat at a local burger place.

We haven't been here that long, and it doesn't seem to be anything special. All I know is that it's an outside establishment with a stall that serves the food and it's called Meh Burger. The wooden floor of the place seems rather worn and so does the stall itself from where a very distinctive smell is coming from. A smell that screams "cheaply made" which isn't a big surprise considering it's a fast food restaurant. It's just that it smells very cheap... like if the oil for the fries hasn't been changed in, well, forever.

Deciding to ignore the probable health risks arising from the unhygienic nature of the place I turn to Sonic and ask, "So about this place, which ones are good, the burgers or the fries?"

"I mean, the food pretty much tastes all the same. It's nothing special really," he answers, and we move forward in line.

"But you all still eat here?"

He turns to me shrugging, "Well it's the only place around here. And besides the food isn't exactly bad. It just isn't that good either. It's just okay." There's small pause in our conversation until he turns to me asking, "Did the place in where you come from then have a difference between the fries and the burgers?"

The question itself is rather weird but it's kinda cute. To explain what I meant I tell him how my hometown had three different burger places and explain how each of them had their goods and bads in specific food groups, and he listens to the whole thing surprisingly interested. I don't know whether he's actually that interested of if he's just good at pretending but if I were to guess I'd say he's being genuine by the look in his eyes.

After I'm done with explaining he says, "Three different places. That's gotta be a lot of choices. What do you usually eat?"

"I mean, usually I just eat nuggets," I simply answer to him and he looks somewhat surprised, "But sometimes I might order a burger for change. But it's kinda rare 'cause I rarely eat at fast food places so the nuggets kinda already are a change you know."

He nods and glances forward. "It seems it's our turn soon."

"What do you usually eat?" I ask hoping to keep the conversation going even though the topic is kinda weird and something I never considered to be talking about with a blue hedgehog. But then again, I never considered that I'd find myself talking with a blue hedgehog in the first place.

"My go to is a chili dog," he says, "They're honestly my favorite food. I could eat them all day and never get tired of 'em!" he explains overexcitedly causing me to grin. A small blush is visible on his face when he turns his gaze away from me.

Just then it's our turn to order and we take a couple steps toward the stall, but something slides in front of us saying, "Hey! No cutsies. I was here first."

It's not hard to guess who that voice belongs to, but I still turn my gaze upwards to see the moustache faced weirdo.

"No way Egghead! We've been waiting," Sonic argues back, and I nod.

"Yeah, you just got here," I point out.

A small cough makes us turn our heads to the turquoise nutria working in the joint. It's weird really how much someone, especially when talking about an animal, can look like a stereotypical annoying teenager that is working in a minimum wage job. Weird stuff man.
