Y/n P.O.V

"But mum, why do I need a personal bodyguard? I'm 19 years old. I can take care of myself."

"Y/n, are you kidding me right now? This is serious, we've been getting so many threats lately, I don't want you going around town without anyone watching you. "N/n, I understand baby, but I just want to protect you." My mother says.

I nod my head and walk into my room.

Today was the day that I would be meeting my bodyguard.

I wonder if he's cute.

I heard a knock on the door.

"Come in." I shout.

"Y/n, this is Mako your bodyguard." My mother says.

"Princess Y/n, it's very nice to meet you, my name is Mako." He bows.

"Nice to meet you Mako, but you can just call me
Y/n." I say, bowing back.

"Okay cuties, I'll give you a chance to get to know each other." My mother winks.

"Mum!" I whine.

She laughs and closes my door softly.

"Sorry about her." I giggle nervously.

"Oh it's no big deal," he blushed.

"No way your favorite color is red too!" I say, slightly pushing Mako's shoulder.

We had gotten to know eachother for a couple hours and it was nice, he was a very fun to have around.

"Do you want to head out for the day?" I ask.

"Of course my lady, lead the way." He says, gesturing to the door.

Mako P.O.V

Y/n and I have gotten a couple of hours to get to know each other and by far she has been the nicest person I have ever meet.

"You know, I thought you'd be a wicked pain in the ass."

She places her hand on her heart. "Woah that hurt Mako." She laughs.

She had the most contagious laugh and she was gorgeous, I've heard plenty about her from people saying that she was gorgeous, but in person she was just extraordinary.

Y/n P.O.V

It's been a couple of months since Mako has been my bodyguard and it's been the happiest months of my life.

I have been starting to develop a crush on him and today was the day I was going to tell him.

I heard a knock on my door. I went over to open it.

"Hey Mako." I say to the tall firebender.

"Hey, Y/n. You wanted to talk?"

"Yeah, so I've been huh..Ive been wanting to tell you that..I..um."

"Hey, Y/n," he says. "Whatever it is, you can tell me."

I take a deep breath in. "I like you a lot Mako, I know we just meet and all but I-"

I suddenly get cut off by a warm pair of lips pressed against mine.

Mako pulled away.

"Y/n, I've liked you since the day I laid eyes on you." He smiles.

I smile and kissed him again. "Can we take this slow?" I ask.

"Of course." He says wrapping his arms around my waist.
