Once you and your mate come across each other, you will feel it.

e) when you touch each other (skin to skin) you will feel the sparks. The tingling. The pleasure. And the want to hold her forever.
In some book, they can only know they are mates if they look deep into their eyes (once their eyes meet). In other books only if their skin make contact.
