The servant that gave us tea earlier hands me the servant clothes. "You'll be staying with her." He turns around and waves his hand and leaves.
"Follow me." She walks into the servants quarters.
"I will draw a bath for you." The server runs off leaving me in the room that we're sharing for the night . I wait for her to come back to show me where my bath will be.
After a few minutes she comes back and shows me to my bath. I begin to take off my clothes, I hand her my quite filthy clothes, and I hop into the steaming hot bath.
"Ahhhhh." I let out a sigh of relaxation. The warm water burning my skin at first then turns into a relaxing temperature. I feel the warm water and soap take off all the dirt and grim off my body. I didn't notice before how dirty I was from all the sweat and running I do for my job. The servant begins to wash my back.
After my bath I got changed, I look in the mirror to see my long black hair that I don't usually see often because it's tied back. I get changed into the clothes that the servant gave me, oversized compared to hers. After we walk to the servants room.
It was quite small, but we sit down and the table placed in the corner and then the servant teaches me the basics of servants' jobs, so my whole act of being a strong guard who fights is more realistic.
After we decide it would be best if we head to bed. The servant blows out the candle and gets us situated. before I slipped off to sleep I had a million thoughts in my head. . .
What if I never left my seat?
What if I don't successfully kill him? After what feels like an eternity of racing thoughts I eventually fall asleep. When I wake up I can hear the servant whispering "Lord Gyeong, he is- uhm, is very sad please go cheer him up." She says in a worried tone. Confused, I get out of bed. I can tell its morning from the blueness of the sky before the sun rises. My long black hair going down my back while my white pajamas are too big and going past my feet. Trying not to trip I make it to Gyeongs room. Before I enter I hear quiet sobs.
I walk in with a smile that says 'it's going to be okay' then and I sit down at the table that's in his room. I became an assassin, so I wouldn't have to deal with this motherly shit. His walls are cream white like the rest of the house, hardwood floors, and his bed in the middle of the room with beautiful dragon carvings in the wood. The smooth silk comforter makes me want to jump in myself.
"Are you alright?" I say calmly so I don't get him more sad and depressed than he already is. "NO! MY BROTHER HE- " He couldn't even finish his sentence without breaking into tears. It was strange to see a grown man crying right in front of me especially the lords brother. I stand up and give him a hug, I didn't say anything trying not to make the situation more awkward.
"He- He took my bride away from me- I loved her. I really did." he said wiping the new salty tears that fell down his diamond shaped face.
"But he's going to die soon anyways." I say while I sit down at the table. he finishes his fit. We sit at the table and he acts like I just didn't see him breakdown, I mean I would've done the same.
"Now I'm going to direct you to Dae-Jungs palace." He says to me still trying to keep his composure.
I get on a horse with him and I hold onto his waist. we get up to the doors and one of the guards are rather surprised to see the lords brother with a servant.
"Hello Sir, Gyeong. Please follow the servant behind me." The servant leads us into the main room of the palace. And I see a man sitting on a chair. Is that Lord Dae-Jung?
