'i can't get out of work. Please pick up Blaine at noon? We can have lunch together, I love you :)' Louis

"Cellphones off please."

I sigh and shove my phone in my pocket and went back to the set. I stood behind the director as he barks out instructions for the camera crew.

"And this scene...?" he turns back to me as I scan the clipboard in my arm. "This is the last shot of the day, sir." I say. He gives me a nod before turning back to the actors.

"Let's do this quick." he says then yells 'action'. The camera crew starts filming.

I can't explain how exhausted I am. I had to be up at 3 in the morning to head to the studio. I didnt have breakfast when I left the house, I had to stop by EAT near the BBC studios. It's nearly noon now and I still haven't had lunch yet.

The last scene was wrapped up quickly. The BBC producer came up to me as I was fixing my things, "Meg, I need you at the radio station tomorrow at 7. Think you could make it?" he asks making me furrow my eyebrows.

"My job's limited to television programs..." I say as sling the strap of my bag on my shoulder. Ever since I've been promoted, the producers love to give me jobs to that's not my job to do. This was one of them.

"I understand but Caroline, from the station, has been requesting you since last week. She thinks you'd really love the broadcast this time."

"What's the broadcast?" I ask, pushing the door of the main entrance.

"We're not sure but I believe you know the guest."

I raise my eyebrows at him and he gives me a smile. Once again, my phone beeps in my pocket. It's a message from the daycare, telling me to pick up Blaine.

"Yes, fine, I'll be there. Now I have to go. My son's waiting for me in nursery." I say. The smile on the producer's face was priceless as I walked away.

When I get on a bus, I settled for the nearest seat to the door and sat down with a massive sigh. It's been a long day and I can't wait to get home and rest the whole afternoon. Another thing I'm thankful for is that Blaine's school is not that far from the main studio. It's merely 10 minutes away by bus and 5 by train.

When the bus stops in front of the school, I lean over the fence and scan the playground for my little boy. I smile when I see him running around with the same little girl he's been playing around with since he started.

For a moment, he looks up and his smile grows. He waves at me enthusiastically. Despite how tired I feel, it feels like it got Washed away at the sight of my son.

He runs to the bench and grabs his backpack. He hugs the little girl goodbye and runs to the gate. The guard opens the gate and Blaine, being Blaine, didn't wait for a second to run into my arms.

"Mommy, where did you go this morning?" he asks me, his blue eyes bright and wide making him look so innocent.

"I told you last night, remember? Mommy had to go to work." I tell him. He nods curtly, not asking anymore questions. "Are you hungry?"

He looks up and nods with a bright smile on his face. "Let's see daddy first then we can get lunch, yeah?" he squeals and jumps around, making me laugh. I stand up and hold his hand as we cross the road to the bus stop.

When we get on the bus, Blaine runs to an empty seat and sits near the window. After I scanned my Oyster card, I sat beside the eager young boy who's digging through his backpack.

"What are you looking for?" I ask him. He answers my question by pulling out a crumpled piece of bond paper. The edges are slightly torn so I assume he stuffed it in his backpack when he was done.
