Amadea's fate.

Part 2 Chapter 6

THIRD PERSON'S POV

Amadea and Duri began dating shortly after their meeting.

They had been together for about two years.

It was their second anniversary.

Jem had given birth to twins; two adorable girls,Jin and Jen.

The girls spent a lot of time with their uncle Duri and Amadea since their mother was still going to school.

The father of the children had refused to even acknowledge their existence so Duri stepped into the role of their father.

Duri had been a father figure for Jem  since their parents died when he was eighteen and Jem was just three years old.

Jem just wanted her brother happy. He was always putting others first and never really tried to find happiness...well, that was before he started dating Amadea.

Jem had never seen her brother that happy before and she was more than willing to help when he told her he needed her help in planning a wedding proposal for Amadea.

Jem was excited to have Amadea as her sister in law. The doctor was kind to her and her children, and she genuinely loves her brother.

It was finally the day of the proposal. Duri decided to pop the question on their anniversary but Amadea was kept totally in the dark.

She thought that they'd go out on a date to celebrate their anniversary like the previous one and that would be it.

AMADEA'S POV

Duri refused to tell me where we were going.
All I knew was that we were going on a date and that we would be walked for a while.

Duri parked his car at the foot of a hill and we got down.

He held my hand and led me up the hill.
When we got to the top, I gasped
" It's beautiful."

"So... Do you like it?"

"Are you kidding? I love it and I love you. Thank you so much for this". I said and hugged him.

Before us was a blanket and some pillows,
a bottle of wine,some fruits and my favourite food in sealed plates.

I couldn't wait to taste the food. Duri could cook even in his sleep. He's the reason why I've added a few pounds.

We sat down and just began to talk. There was never a dull moment with Duri. He made me laugh and there was always something to talk about.

After sometime I stood up and began to walk around taking in the scenery around me.
When I turned around I couldn't help but gasp. Jen and Jin were holding a placard that said 'Please marry our handsome Uncle'.

I couldn't help but laugh. Duri never missed an opportunity to toot his horn.

I turned around again and noticed Duri on one knee.

"Amadea, you are the first person I wanna look at when I wake up in the morning, and the only one I wanna kiss goodnight. Because the first time that I say these hands. I couldn't imagine not being able to hold them. But mainly when you love someone as much as I love you, getting married is the only thing left to do.

I guarantee there'll be tough times.

I guarantee that at some point, one or both of us is gonna want to get out of this thing.

But I also guarantee that if I don't ask you to be mine, I'll regret it for the rest of my life. because I know, in my heart. you re the only one for me. So will you marry me?"
