We park outside the compound. I follow tony inside along with an army guy.

"General Ross" he stretches a hand out. I grip it firmly shaking it.

"Magdalena Ford" I reply.

We walk into a conference table full with avengers.

"Five years ago, I had a heart attack. I dropped right in the middle of my back-swing. Turned out it was the best round of my life," Ross speaks.

"That's one shitty best moment" I mutter.

"because after 13 hours of surgery and a triple bypass . . . I found something 40 years in the Army had never taught me: Perspective." He narrows his eyes at me.

"The world owes the Avengers an un-payable debt. You have fought for us, protected us, risked your lives . . . but while a great many people see you as heroes, there are some . . . who would prefer the word "vigilantes". He replies.

"Like you mentioned. The world owes an un-payable debt to the avengers. Correct me if I'm wrong. Then why the hell are you putting a price on it?" I persist.

"What do you label us?" Natasha says.

"Dangerous. What do you call a group of US-based, enhanced individuals who routinely ignore sovereign borders and inflict their will wherever they choose and who, frankly, seem unconcerned about what they leave behind?" He retorts.

"People who solve problems you're too small to deal with" I backfire.

He starts his presentation. Showing the different events. And catastrophic measures that happened.

"For the past four years, you've operated with unlimited power and no supervision. That's an arrangement the governments of the world can no longer tolerate. But I think we have a solution." He says slamming a thick ass book infront of Wanda.

"He cut a whole fucking forest?" I scoff.

"Sokovia Accords. Approved by 117 countries . . . it states that the Avengers shall no longer be a private organization." He says.

"You want a federal organization?" I reply

"United Nations panel," he responds. "Only when necessary."

"The Avengers were formed to make the world a safer place. I feel we've done that." Steve adds.

"Tell me, Captain, do you know where Thor and Banner are right now?" Ross retorts.

"If I misplaced a couple of 30 megaton nukes . . . you can bet there'd be consequences. Compromise. Reassurance. That's how the world works." Ross backfires.

"Right because these people having a brain and own thoughts are nukes" I reply this is a stupid conversation.

"What happens if we come to conclusion you don't like?" Natasha asks.

"Then you retire" general Ross says. Natasha forces a smile.

I lay down on the couch next to my dude tony. We both look annoyed with our lives.

The others are fighting and talking shit.

"Science dudes You are being uncharacteristically non-hyper-verbal." Natasha says looking at us.

"They already made there decisions" Steve says angry.

"You know is us so well" I reply bitterly.

"I'm nursing an electromagnetic headache." Tony says getting up ready to explain. Then he starts talking about Charlie Spencer and other stuff. I didn't really pay attention.

"Tony, someone dies on your watch, you don't give up." Steve says like an idiot.

"Yeah because people don't matter. What a verdict" I reply sarcastically.

"Mag this doesn't involve you" he retorts.

"It does. She goes on every mission." Tony backs me up.

"Doesn't go into the field" Steve retorts.

"Guess ill let you find your way out of a building that had 100 explosives next time" I snap at him.

"And Who said we're giving up?" Tony says.

"We are if we're not taking responsibility for our actions. This document just shifts the blames." Steve comments.

"That's terribly ignorant" James says

"I fucking agree. You signing the fucking document is going to fuck do that" I pause. "Taking responsibilities for your actions"

"Sorry we killed and destroyed a whole fucking country and city but, we won't do it anymore" I mock his voice.

"No, but it's run by people with agendas, and agendas change." Steve says stubbornly and glares at me.

"Isn't that a good thing?" I reply.

"Who's side are you on?" Steve asks clenching his jaw.

"I'm on the side of living" I reply. Tony hooks his arm with mine.

"She's on mine" he replies.

"we sign this, we surrender our right to choose. What if this panel sends us somewhere we don't think we should go? What if there is somewhere we need to go, and they don't let us?" Steve says.

"Mag you know why we have to do this" he looks at me expecting a response.

"Maybe we shouldn't be the ones looking after it" I reply.

"Our safest hands are our own" he says while shaking his head.

"That's selfish Magdalena" he backfires.

"I am selfish! I've always have been Steve." I yell slightly offended.

"I should be cut your dick off for forgetting our 1 year anniversary! But here we fucking are" I yell. His eyes widen.

"don't sign the document! I don't care. Go be the dude you wanna be. I'm over it" I reply getting my shit and storming out.
