Chapter 9

Narrator's P.O.V

The events of last night kept on playing over and over inside Eunhye's head. She knew that the best choice for both of them would be stop seeing each other. But are her feelings for him that little?

Her heart boiled a bit at the thought of Mark being attracted to someone else. As soon as the thought of that, she mentally scolded herself for thinking that way. Mark is entitled to fall in love with anyone he wants, especially since she knew she couldn't date him.

Despite her disturbing thoughts, Eunhye managed to practice properly with her other members. Nobody noticed her internal thoughts except for Jieun, who noticed that something is wrong with the younger one. But she decided not to comment about it, since she knew that the younger one prefers to keep her thoughts to herself.

When the group was given a water break, Eunhye noticed that she no longer has any water to drink due to the intense practice they're having. "I'll go the store downstairs to buy water, does anyone want me to grab anything else?" she asked the other members.

"Can you buy 5 extra bottles of water? I think we might need it due to the practice we have today. You can use my points." Gaeun told her.

"As expected of our leader! Treating us to water already." Chaewon dramatically said. Eunhye giggled inside her head, who would have known the usual calm Chaewon would actually be a bit overdramatic and funny.

Eunhye gave her leader her eye smile, "Sure, I'll be right back." she said before standing up and leaving the room.

The older members looked at each other. "Did you see that?! Our maknae is so cute, I'm screaming! Why doesn't she show that expression more? People would be crazy for her!" Chaewon exclaimed to the other members.

"She has always been a bit secluded, I know she's actually nice but I sometimes wonder if she actually feels emotions." Gaeun smiled softly, feeling a bit worried about the youngest member.

"She does." Jieun said with confidence, causing the other members to be surprised since no one knew much about the youngest member. "She's just good at hiding it. You might think she's emotionless sometimes but if you look inside clearly, she's clearly more fragile than most people think she is."

Soomin smiled a bit, "Let's protect our maknae then, we're the awesome unnies after all." she joked, causing everyone to laugh and agree.

Eunhye was walking towards the elevator when she was called out.

"Min Eunhye."

Eunhye turned her head to her back to be met by the glares of Sori and Minsa. She sighed inwardly, she did expect that those two would throw words about her but she was a bit surprised that they finally had guts to confront her about it.

"Good afternoon, unnies." she faked a polite smile and bowed a bit to them, causing the other two to glare more at her.

"How much did you pay the company to debut you?" Sori gritted her teeth.

Eunhye rolled her eyes inside her head, "Pay? Do you think I have the money to bribe them?" she asked, her tone turned a bit colder than her usual polite tone.

Mark was walking towards the elevator with Sungchan when he accidentally heard Eunhye's voice. At first, he wanted to greet her but when he noticed the tension between the three females, he pulled Sungchan behind a wall to eavesdrop at their conversation.

"I never expected you to enjoy gossips, hyung. I thought that was Haechan hyung's thing." Sungchan commented, amusement in his voice. Mark quickly shushed him though.
