Spock and Alex

Chapter Two

A couple weeks passed as Spock and Alex tried to get back into the routine of the Enterprise. Nothing exciting had happened since they arrived. The crew kept asking them about the honeymoon and Spock was getting tired of the questions and trying not to use the Vulcan nerve pinch on them. Spock and Alex had grabbed food in the mess hall and sat down by Chekov and Scotty.
"And the famous couple greets us with their presence," Scotty laughed as Spock tried not to roll his eyes.
"I honestly don't see how we are labeled famous Mr. Scott," he said as he sat down.
"Oh come on Mr. Spock! You're the captain's best friend and you married his sister! The ship hasn't had anything else exciting to talk about since you two left," he laughed.
"Well, I hope something else happens to change the gossip then," the Vulcan said with a glare.
"Be careful vhat you vish for," Chekov said, slightly grinning.
"Did anything even happen while we were gone?" Alex asked.
"Well, we had Karaoke night and Chekov and Sulu sort of had a battle of the bands," Scotty laughed. 
"Let me guess, Sulu said something bad about the Beatles?" Alex asked as Chekov sighed.
"Vorse. He said they were just mediocre," he sighed.
"They weren't just mediocre! They changed music forever," Alex defended as Chekov smiled.
"That's what I said!" Suddenly, the captain's voice was heard throughout the ship as the lights turned red.
"Mr. Spock and Mr. Scott, Mr. Chekov report to the bridge! All stations red alert," Alex heard her brother announce. The three of them shared a glance with each other as they hastily abandoned their food. Spock grabbed Alex's hand briefly as they headed to the nearest turbo lift. The three of them quietly shared the lift together. When they came to Alex's stop, she whispered in Spock's ear before she let go of his hand.
"Be safe," she said as she exited. Spock gazed after her as he thought the same.
