Katsuki glares at the girl sitting in front of him, "A-gain." He tightens the hold of his pencil. "Find factors of -172 that would give you the sum of -39."
Eli bites on her bottom lip as she scans through her notebook. "Uh, wait–"
"The answer's not in your notebook, dumbass!"
The girl flinches. "Then why d'you ask me that hard question?!"
"It isn't hard if you just focus on one thing!" He yells. "For god's sake, use your fucking calculator."
Eli grabs the scientific calculator on the right side of Katsuki's low table. "Okay," After a few seconds of her staring at the gadget, "–where's the button that finds the factors?" She asks him seriously.
"Oh for fuck's– there's no button for that!"
Eli groans. "Can we just do some modern Japanese then? My brain hurts."
Katsuki grunts, pounding a fist on the table. "You said math so we're doing math!" He sneers at her. "Now, answer!"
Eli slouches her back and re-adjusts her glasses. "Fine."
Factors of -172 that would give a sum of -39? Please, how smart does he think I am? I have the IQ of a caterpillar–
"You're not even trying." His sudden voice snaps Eli out of her thoughts.
Eli grunts and swings her head on top of the table, hiding it in her arms. "I can't do it. I give up." She breathed out, her voice muffled. "I'm failing in mathematics. Tell Ectoplasm he was a great–"
"Oi."
"–math teacher, even better than Ms. Satou who was very patient with me and–"
"Tangerine."
"–never gave up even though I had no future with me liking numbers and–"
Katsuki tiredly rolls his eyes as he grabs his notebook and rolls it up, "Can you just– shut up!" He hits the girl's head with the notebook, making her look up.
"Ow!– what the?!"
"Maybe if you'd let me finish, I could teach you?! Ever thought of that?!" He shouts at her, causing her to stare at him surprised.
Eli sits up slowly, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. Indirectly signaling him to go ahead.
The ash-blond sighs. Katsuki composes himself. "When you find factors the first thing you can do is to divide it by 2, 3, 4, the list goes on. For this equation," He points to the scribbles on his notebook, "I need you to find the factors of 172. Find it."
Eli nods, getting her calculator and punching the numbers in. "Let's see, 2 and 86."
"Good, what else?"
"Uh, 3 and 57.7?" Eli switches her gaze from the gadget to her tutor, her lips pursed.
Katsuki nods, writing down everything she says. "Okay, what else?"
Eli pauses, she looks down at the pieces of paper Katsuki was writing on. Her eyesight was trash but she could see clearly the different words scattered across the page. It wrote:
