Ch 39 - Miles

Everyone is alive after Endgame.

Peter had been what's the word insecure of changes and his death for 5 years had caused him his peace of mind. Tony and everyone was always there for him but he just couldn't deny the fact that the world moved on without him.

Morgan was the biggest change. She was the daughter of his father figure and considered him her brother. Peter loved her with all his heart and would do anything to protect her. She didn't know about the snap cause Tony thought that she was better off without knowing about it so she never understood why Peter wasn't around in the starting.

Morgan might love Peter but she was still a child who seeked attention and love of her parents. Tony and Pepper moved back at the Tower to be near to Peter if he needed. For Morgan it was big change of environment but she played along cause it didn't cause much for a disruption in her play time.

Peter came 3 times a week and on weekends so he wasn't at the Tower for only 2 days and everyone was either tired or just wasn't up to playing with Morgan. Tony and Pepper gave her all their attention and to Peter too but she just felt like because she wasn't old they left her out on some points.

Like she was not allowed in Lab with Tony like Peter was and he always helped Pepper with the chopping and carrying stuff in kitchen that she wasn't allowed to help with. Morgan started feeling jealous. But wasn't mature enough to come out and talk about it with her parents so she acted on instinct.

It was a Friday and Peter looked forward to it. He reached the Tower and after school from his ride with Happy. Happy was sort of new of showing emotions but he surely missed the kid's rambling during the time so he would never roll up the window now and listen to how his day went and smile.

The elevator stopped on the Penthouse floor and walked into the room. He was greeted with a joint 'Hey Peter' and he replied politely. "Hey guys". They were preparing for movie night cause they could sleepover late and wouldn't problem cause the next day was Saturday.

They sat together at the dinning table eating before the movie night when Tony asked. "Peter what movie do you want to watch?". "But it's my turn to choose the movie". Morgan said. "Sweetie it's not a big deal, let Peter choose." Pepper said. "But he took my turn the previous week too". Morgan said. "It's alright, Morgan can choose" Peter tried to calm down the atmosphere.

"No, she needs to learn sharing" Tony said. "I do share. I share you and mommy with him. You are my parents not his. You need to take my side. His parents can take his". Morgan said in anger and instinct not knowing the full movie of what he just said.

Peter was too grimaced to think about his way of acting. He just took his bag from the couch and walked out of the room to the elevator tears falling. "You should show some respect to your brother. I'm very dissappointed. See what you did he walked out crying because of you". Tony said.

"Of course you'd be disappointed in me cause you have him now. You don't let me in the Lab but you allow him." Morgan said and ran to her room crying. Tony rubbed his forehead because of the situation and Pepper gently patted his shoulder. Natasha got up. "I'll go after Peter to make sure he doesn't do something insane". She said and walked out. Now if the stress of his two children fighting was not enough the possibility which Natasha implanted into his mind of one of them doing something insane surely was.

All the rest continued to eat in silence. Tony got up and walked to Morgan's room. 'Maybe it's time for her to know about Peter' he thought. He gently knocked on the door. "Go away" Morgan said her voice muffled. Tony entered the room. She laid on her blamed with face dug into her pillow. "Morgan, baby look at me". Tony said very sad to see her baby girl like this. Morgan didn't and Tony then slowly forced her to look up.

Her eyes were all puffy and red and cheeks had strains from continuous tears running down them. "I'm sorry. I didn't wanted you to feel the way you did". Tony said. Morgan for the first time looked at him. "See you are too young to do stuff in kitchen and come in my Lab cause it's dangerous. When you grow up you are welcome to do it." Tony said. "Really?" Morgan asked surprised. She didn't think that she would ever be allowed to. "See Morgan Peter might not say it or show it but he is really scared". Tony said.

"But he's Spider-Man." Morgan said. "He might be Spider-Man but he's still a boy. Do you know why he wasn't here before?" Tony asked. Morgan shook her head. "You know Daddy was in the hospital because he defeated a bad guy recently?" Tony asked. Morgan nodded. She remembered how stressful the atmosphere everyone radiated of was while Daddy was in the hospital. The only person who had handled her during her breakdown was Peter.

" Well Daddy fought him once more. It was five years ago around a year ago to your birth". Tony said. Morgan nodded wanting to listen the whole story. "He did something that sent half of the people of Earth away and when Daddy defeated him all of them came back and one of them was Peter." Tony said smoothly. "Really?" Morgan asked. "Yes. So if you went away and came back after years you'll be scared too right?" Tony asked.

Morgan nodded. "That's how it is for Peter but he never shows it to worry us but he is scared." Tony said. "And that's why you and Mommy always look after him". Morgan finished for Tony. "Yes" Tony said smiling. "That's why you should not talk to people like that". Tony said. Morgan nodded feeling guilty. "What about his mommy and daddy?" Morgan asked. "They went away when he was very young". Tony replied sadly. "Like where Peter went?" Morgan asked. Tony just nodded. "And they didnt return after you defeated the bad guy?" Morgan asked. Tony nodded his head again.

The concept of death was new to Morgan but it wasn't out of her understanding. "And they'll never come back either" Morgan said. Tony didn't reply. Morgan felt devastated for what she said. She couldn't imagine her life without her mom and dad and she said to Peter such a horrible thing.

Her mind couldn't process and made a supporting action so she just started sobbing then full on crying. Tony hugged her and she just continued crying and saying between sobs 'I'm sorry'. Tony and Morgan walked out to see Natasha standing in the living room rubbing his forehead.

"Where's Peter?" Tony asked. "I don't know." Natasha answered short. "What do you mean you don't know?" Tony asked worried. "I didn't find him in the way neither was he at home, I went there and asked May she doesn't know either." Natasha said. She was worried too for Peter but just struggled in showing emotions
"It's like he disappeared" Natasha said.
