Mischievous Lie

Inaya POV
I was reading my goddess diary and hid it in the usual spot so dad or Daniel won't find it. My dad took me to school and I greeted Helios. He smiled and today we had a free day so me and Helios started drawing and cutting. Ms.Rose was outside with my other classmates making sure they didn't get hurt. I glanced at Helios who was quiet as usual, he had his mysterious aura around him just like Akaki but sometimes he would change into a social and child-like kid. His mom is very nice and she would let us play outside and even take us to the park. Class was ending and I saw dad waiting for me in the car, I waved Helios bye and went inside. "Hey dad."
"Hey Inaya, how was school?" He asked. "It was fun, I colored with Helios today." I said excited and he smiled. Ever since goddess appear, my adoptive dad took time to spend time with me and I felt happy again but I still feel like I'm empty. Sometimes I would dream of my brother with his face being blurry but the warm and gentle smile he always had was never erased from my memories.
We got home and I was surprised to see Daniel in the couch doing nothing. He looked at me and smiled and nodded at dad, they were acting weird. "What's wrong? Did I do something bad?" I asked and they quickly shook their heads. "No, um...actually we would like for you to do us a favor." Dad said and I titled my head. We sat in the couch and they were a little hesitant. "So we want to take you to Akaki's house to spend the night there. It will be like a sleepover." Daniel said and I was getting suspicious of what they really wanted. Goddess and Mamoru warned me not to go over there because it was dangerous. "I don't want to." I said and they looked surprised. "Don't you want to spend time with her?" My dad asked. "She may be busy so she wouldn't be able to watch over me." I replied and they both looked at each other. Daniel stood up and took his phone out and walked a bit far from the couch. Dad turned to me and said, "Inaya, actually I want you to help me watch over Akaki." He said. "Why?" I asked and he continued, "There are bad guys trying to find and take her." He said with a sad expression. My eyes widened as I remembered that Daniel was talking to Sir Takaki over the phone one night concerned about Akaki who was getting phone calls from bad people. She even told me that she was being watch by bad guys, I looked at dad and asked, "What do I need to do?" I want to help Goddess because if they take her she won't find the man who killed her mom. What if the bad guy that is watching Goddess is the man who killed her mom? If dad catches the bad guy than Goddess won't be sad anymore about her mom and she can be happy again.
"We will give you a phone and Daniel will call you so you will need to immediately give it to Akaki so we can make sure she is okay and safe at home." Dad said and I nodded. He turned to Daniel and he passed me a small phone. He showed me how to use it and what to press when the phone rang, we practiced a few times and I got it. Daniel called someone and placed in on speaker, it was Akaki.

"What do you want shorty? I'm busy." She grumbled. I could hear pots hitting each other and a lot of noise.

"Mamoru get your tail in the shower, NOW!" She yelled and dad facepalmed himself. We heard a cry of help from Mamoru and then the shower and a door slammed shut.

"What is it?" She asked again.

"Can you take care of Inaya tonight? Me and my dad have to stay in the station for the whole night and we're worried to keep her here alone." Daniel said.

"You and that old man are going to get grey hair soon for all that working. And tonight! Are you fucking crazy, what is this late notice. You usually tell me things a day before." She said.

"Yeah sorry, it was a last minute thing. You're the only person that we trust to take care of her." He insisted and I could hear her sign.

"But tonight..." she seemed conflicted as to what to say.

"Fine, I guess I can.." we all smiled.

"Thank kiki, I'll send her in a few hours." Daniel said and I looked at him. He hanged up and my dad was skeptical of him as well as me. Daniel said her nickname a little too sweetly. I packed a few things and took the small phone with me, I felt like I was in mission. It was getting dark and we all got in the car and Daniel suddenly clipped something on the inside of my collar and I looked at it. It was a small black device and I tapped it, "what is this?" I asked but no one answered. "Inaya, don't tell Akaki about what we talked about?" My dad said. "Why?" I asked and Daniel answered, "She doesn't like being helped, we are doing it secretly."
We stopped in front of Goddess house and she came out with Mamoru who was glaring at Daniel from afar. I quickly ran to Akaki and she held me in the air. "Bye.." I waved at Daniel and Dad and they gave me thumbs up.
We went inside and Akaki and Mamoru sat me in the couch, 'is this deja vu?' Mamoru wasn't that happy and looked worried. Akaki asked for my bag and I passed it to her and Mamoru started checking it. They didn't find anything weird to them but the phone, "Nothing suspicious here." He stated. Akaki lifted her pointer finger to her lips and I nodded. She took my jacket off and check the pockets, they were acting weird and then I pointed at the small device that was clipped to the collar and they frowned. Mamoru was going to throw it but Akaki stopped him and covered it with a cloth and shoved it in my jackets pocket.
"Phew." Akaki sighed as she smiled again, "Goddess what was that small black thing?" I asked.
"That was a small microphone. Did Daniel put that in your collar?" She asked. I nodded and Mamoru sighed, "That midget is getting suspicious. Thankfully we also got suspicious of the sudden call and babysitting request. If not those guys would immediately hear all our secrets." Mamoru said.
"But isn't a microphone this big?" I asked as I expressed the size of the microphone I know of because it's in school. "No Inaya, this is a tiny microphone that is used by detectives and spies to hear conversations of other people without them knowing." When she said that I then understood why dad clipped it on my jacket but I wasn't completely sure.
Was it to hear if bad guys came in the house to take Akaki or was it for another reason?
"Inaya, I need to get some work tonight so you will be here with Mamoru and Jade." Akaki said as I followed her to the her room. "When you say work do you mean finding that man." I said and I noticed that she flinched and turned to look at me. "Yes, that man." She pressed a button and then her closet flipped sideways to reveal another closet where her Kaitou Leila outfit was. "Wow thats so cool!" I yelled and she laughed.
