"Hey, thank you so much for the ride. I was hoping I'd catch you before you left. Dad was supposed to have my car fixed but, well yeah, it didn't happen," Courtney shrugs her shoulders when she climbs into Callie's car.
"It's no big deal," Callie smiles at her as she begins to make the fifteen-minute drive to Kal Central.
Courtney Smith and Callie have been best friends since kindergarten. They are inseparable, doing almost everything together. They always lend a helping hand to each other and aren't afraid to drop whatever they are doing to help one another. They have come a long way from meeting in the sandbox to now playing high school softball together. It was a devastating thing when Courtney found out Callie has already signed and committed to Texas. But, with hard work and dedication, Courtney committed to the Oklahoma Sooners the beginning of her senior year.
Callie and Courtney aren't only a dynamic duo in their friendship, but also on the softball field. The two girls dressed Varsity their freshman year and sophomore year and are now the starting pitcher and catcher for the Kal Central High School Tigers.
