Honest to god, it was not what Jungkook had planned, he had really planned on attempting this being an adult thing. Going to actually talk to Yoongi again, the reason he had decided to do that was a little weird. He knew it was, he wasn't that stupid even if the rest of the world had seemingly decided to think he was.
After Jimin and Taehyung had given him the gift of the scrunchies and even the hairband he had been so happy, he couldn't even explain it. It was a little thing, yeah, but it showed that they had looked at him and without needing to ask, had figured out what it was he really needed. It meant that they were growing closer right? That they were slowly rebuilding their friendship and their relationship!
That wasn't even what made him decide that he needed to talk to Yoongi, that he should try once again, maybe see if he could slowly build up some trust with the older alpha. No that was... anger and even sadness that had made him decide on that. Hell, maybe even a bit of spite.
He had called Sanghyuk to happily tell the beta about what had happened, about how they were growing closer. It was good right? This was what they had been building towards, slowly feeling like there was hope for the BTS pack.
Cause that was what that little gift meant for Jungkook, hope, it was a sign that maybe they could be okay.
He had expected Sanghyuk to be happy for him, why wouldn't he? Jungkook and BTS working out their relationship and their pack meant that the baby alpha would have to depend on Vixx much less. That was good right?
The reaction he had gotten from the beta wasn't that of happiness or excitement, it was that of low key annoyance and as if something bothered him. At first, Jungkook had thought something had happened, and instead of getting a peal of soft laughter and an explanation he just got a hissed 'you wouldn't understand!'
It was the first time ever that one of the Vixx members had seemed... hostile... towards Jungkook. He felt as if he had gotten an ice shower in that moment, it didn't feel right. Sanghyuk was never this way with him, if it was Hongbin maybe it would be understandable, the beta always struggled with how to show his emotions, but not Hyuk.It felt... weird and wrong, and Jungkook's heart hurt in ways that he couldn't describe. Vixx had always been so sweet to him, especially Sanghyuk who he had a special bond with. The beta was always so nice to him, he always understood Jungkook even when the baby alpha didn't understand himself.
So the fact that his fellow maknae seemed more annoyed with the fact that Jungkook was moving forward with his back, was just off. Something was wrong and he couldn't figure out what it was.
Of course, Sanghyuk hadn't stayed snappy and annoyed with him, he called only a few hours later explaining that he had just had a bad day, and it wasn't really on Jungkook, that it had nothing to do with him and he shouldn't have acted the way he did.
Which was all good and well right? Everything was back to normal. There was just one thing... since Jungkook had gotten to know the Vixx members better, he had also gotten better at something else, telling when the other idols were lying, and Sanghyuk was lying. The way that the key to his words would raise in the last second as he spoke and teh way he would add more additive words to his sentences than normal, was a clear way to show that Sanghyuk was lying, and fuck Jungkook couldn't figure out why... If Vixx was tired of him, if they didn't want to hear more from him, they should just tell him.
Fuck he hated it, he didn't know what the fuck was wrong with everything and it was stressing him out. That was why he had decided to go and make good with Yoongi, every part of his body was saying that he wasn't ready, but he was ignoring it.
If Vixx was lying to him and being weird, then he was gonna ignore all of their advice about taking it at his own pace. Fuck them, he was gonna make bad life choices since none of them cared about stopping him. Serves them right!
