-(An idea I got at 5am)-

Okay, I just got a pretty good idea.

You know that bad creepypasta "Squidward's suicide" - also known as "Red Mist"?

Well, the name "Red Mist" gave me an idea.

Okay, so let's say that in one Alternate universe, Squidward dies and ends up possessing a candle of all things. That candle is then taken to an Alternate universe where Squidward is alive. How?

One of the citizens of RandomLand got curious one day, went through one of the Alternate universe doors, found the candle, and took it with them when they left.
That's the explanation I'm going with.

A cycle is then started from there, someone lights the candle, the candle makes a bunch of horrible smelling red mist - it's more like smoke that smells like a dead animal- whoever lit the candle tries to put it out, but can't. The smoke starts making whoever that can smell it dizzy, lightheaded, and starts to give them a painful headache along with hallucinations, which is how they're able to see Red Mist Squidward.

Once they see Red Mist Squidward, they hear him faintly tell them to get the candle out of the house and to give it to someone else, or a curse would be put upon them- he just tells them this so that they'll do what he says.

The person then leaves the candle in a box at someone's doorstep, the next person finds it, and the cycle goes on and on.

If they refuse to take the candle to another person for the cycle to continue, Red Mist Squidward will then make the smoke smell even worse- how can he do this? Well, he takes the form of the smoke, and can control it since he's a ghost... That's the explanation I'm going with- the smoke starts smelling even worse, and the effects of the smoke become worse as well, even more painful headaches, and becoming dizzy to the point where they almost pass out.

Red Mist Squidward does this until the person finally gives in, and takes the candle to someone else for the cycle to continue.

Why does Red Mist Squidward want the cycle to continue?

So that he can eventually meet the Squidward of the Alternate Universe he's in.

What does he plan to do once he meets the Squidward of that Alternate Universe?

The thing is, he doesn't know yet. He doesn't know what he'll do once he meets the Squidward of that Alternate Universe.

Only time will tell.

(I'm probably going to do some doodles for this idea...)
