As I observed the man, a realization dawned on me that he possessed remarkable utility. He appeared to be as aged as Aaron, and his attire consisted of a commendable Armani suit. His dark hair and stunning ocean blue eyes added to his allure, though not quite on par with Aaron's.I expressed my gratitude, and my eyes radiated with sincerity."Anything for a lovely woman," he replied with a smile."Allow me to introduce myself. I am Isaac Raccio, the Chief of Raccio Communications and Collaboration," he announced, simultaneously flashing a grin in my direction."I am Eternity Grang... I mean, Knight," I corrected myself. He gently grasped my hand and planted a kiss upon it."Ahh, so you are Aaron Knight's wife," he uttered, addressing me. He twisted and squirmed as he spoke, announcing, "Your name is incredibly charming, my dear lady. What a delightful moniker!""Thank you once more for your kindness," I acknowledged, grateful for his quick thinking in handing me a tissue. Had it not been for him, my elegant attire would have been ruined by a pesky chocolate stain. The situation could have been incredibly embarrassing."Don't thank me," he insisted, "it is my pleasure to serve a woman as magnificent as yourself." I suppressed the urge to retort, sensing that he was toying with me.I suddenly became aware of a presence beside me. I took a deep breath and exhaled with relief as I spotted Aaron behind me, glaring intently at Issac."Oh my goodness gracious me, Mr. Knight, it's been a hot minute since last we crossed paths!" Issac exclaimed to Aaron. Cue the eye roll."By the way, congratulations on marrying such a lovely woman and inheriting your dad's business," Issac added, seemingly trying to flatter his old acquaintance. Aaron's reaction? Not impressed."Excuse us, please," Aaron said, as he swiftly grabbed my hand and pulled me away from Issac's clutches. The man couldn't take a hint."Why the sudden exit?" I asked Aaron."Don't be fooled by his facade," Aaron warned, scowling. "I'm telling you to steer clear of that guy.""But he seemed nice enough to me," I said naively, earning an incredulous look from Aaron."You don't know him like I do," Aaron huffed. "Trust me, it's for your own good."I gave him a knowing nod. Ah, the joys of male bonding.

"Everyone, let's give a huge round of applause for our star couple of the night, Mr. and Mrs. Knight! They are the epitome of love and the envy of all. Now, it's time to honor them with a special dance round. So, put your dancing shoes on and join us to celebrate the love birds' happiness!"As the crowd erupted in applause, my heart swelled with joy and excitement. All eyes were on us, but I didn't care. With Aaron by my side, I felt invincible. We made our way to the center of the dance floor, eagerly waiting for the music to start. Then, the iconic tune of Elvis Presley's 'Can't Help Falling in Love' filled the room, and we began to move. As we swayed to the music, our bodies perfectly in synchronization, I felt our connection deepening. Aaron's hand on my waist made my heart skip a beat, and as we held each other close, I knew that this moment would be forever etched in our hearts. We danced the night away, lost in each other's embrace, in perfect harmony with the rhythm of our love."The moment the melody started playing, I released the breath that I had been holding for an eternity, and a sly smile emerged on my face. He was impeccable. His eyes were crystal-clear and mysterious like a fierce rainfall in April. The electricity between us was palpable, and I could feel the sweat trickling down my skin as we moved in perfect unison. Our syncopated breaths were short and heavy, each dance move left us gasping for air, and when Aaron brushed his tender lips against my earlobe, it ignited a fire within me that sent shivers down my spine."Aaron," I whispered as I clasped my hands behind his back. The sensation of something fluttering in my stomach was utterly exhilarating. As our eyes met, his breath intermingled with mine, and his unwavering gaze yearned for a kiss. We were so close, and I could feel it in every fiber of my being that we were meant to be together. It was finally time to switch partners and I spun around until I found myself facing Issac. His smile lit up the room as he watched me, and I couldn't help but grin back."Goodness," Issac commented to me, and I refocused on the dance floor where Aaron was with a blonde woman. However, his scowl directed towards Issac and I, who were now dancing together."It seems like destiny has brought us together," Issac winked at me, causing me to lock eyes with him."I'm married," I boldly declared, holding up my ring.Issac laughed off my statement and replied, "Just kidding, dear."Well well well, as I flashed him a charming grin, my mind started to wander back to the intriguing conversation I had with Aaron about his unwarranted angst towards Issac. I mean, what's the deal, man? I decided to inquire about it since Aaron never seemed to spill the tea.As we were on the move, I casually chatted with Issac and popped the question, "Hey bud, what's with Aaron's beef with you?"Issac peered at me with a look of discomfort and muttered, "It's nothing. Your husband and I just had a slight disagreement in the business realm."I nodded in agreement with him, trying to keep the conversation rolling, when I felt a weird sensation poking at my side. Blimey, it was Issac's elbow! And just when I thought it was over, I suddenly felt it again- but this time, in an uncomfortably lower vicinity.Inhaling sharply, I shot him a quizzical look, only to be met with his drooling expression as our bodies rubbed up against each other. I mean, come on- I'm not that kind of gal! So, I pushed him back a bit and looked around nonchalantly, pretending like nothing ever happened. Talk about a classic case of bad timing, am I right?

As my problem came into view, Issac made a tactical retreat, leaving me to grit my teeth and inhale deeply."Sorry about that," he muttered, raking his fingers through his hair. "But what can I say? I'm a red-blooded guy. It's what we do."My eyes popped out of my head as I spotted the man I'd been searching for across the crowded hall. He was sporting the same hoodie as the shadowy figure who gave me the lowdown on Aaron's company. This was my chance to clear my name, dodge Aaron's wrath, and maybe even score some brownie points.Without a word to Issac, I bolted for the mystery man. But just as I was closing in, he caught sight of me and booked it like he was running from the law. Talk about being hard to get.I told him to hold on, but he was moving too fast for me to keep up in my high heels. I tried my best to keep an eye on him, but before I knew it, he had disappeared into a dark hallway.Feeling lost and unsure of what to do, I quickly walked down the dimly lit corridor hoping to find my way out. Eventually, I reached the end and retraced my steps back to the main hall where everyone was enjoying the party. As my mind raced with thoughts about the mysterious man I was following and his intentions, I couldn't help but wonder what was going on. The only way to get to the bottom of this is to catch that man.Fortunately, I knew that with Aaron by my side, I could defend myself if necessary."Well now, what's a girl to do when she's lost in her own fabulous thoughts? Oh look, someone's voice that sounds like a long-lost lover calling out to me! Wait, no, it's just Aaron being his usual attentive self," I thought to myself.Aaron waltzed over, his eyes keen for my well-being. "Where have you vanished to? Are you alright?" he inquired.I struggled to come up with an explanation for the mysterious man lurking in the shadows of my mind. "Oh, nothing to worry about Aaron. Just had to powder my nose, if you know what I mean," I quipped. But Aaron wasn't satisfied with my flippant response. "Come on now, something's clearly bothering you. What's going on?" he pushed, with a quizzical look on his face.I decided to dismiss his concerns and distract him by rubbing my hands together frantically. "Oh you know, just a pesky little headache. Nothing some aspirin can't fix," I fibbed.Aaron continued to scrutinize me, which only made me laugh inwardly. Bless his heart, he'll never know why he cares so much about me.After seeing me smile, Aaron said, "Please don't think that I am stressed about you. I just don't want others to think that I am mentally tormenting you." He spoke seriously, expressing his concern.Later on, he suggested, "Let's go home," and we said goodbye to the guests before heading back.As we arrived and got out of the car, I noticed that Aaron was already heading towards his room. "Aaron," I called out, causing him to stop and look back at me.I expressed my gratitude, saying, "Thank you for these lovely diamond earrings," but his facial expression showed that something was bothering him.Quickly, Aaron replied, "I don't need your damn thanks," before hurrying to his room.Feeling hurt, I made my way to my own room. Suddenly, something hit my leg, causing me to lose my balance and fall to the ground. It was then that everything came crashing down. I yelled out, "Oof!"
