Note Nineteen

Dear S,

Well, my friend Sarah, she was the first one to right on here, suggested that I take my 'relationship woes' here so um, here I am. This is my problem: I like this guy. A lot. I've had a crush on him for more than a year but I don't know what to do. Sometimes he acts as if he likes me, but sometimes he's really distant. Should I tell him about my feelings or just like him in silence?

Sincerely,
~Anna

Dear Anna,

When I liked my ex-boyfriend, I kept quiet about it because I didn't know if he shared the same feelings, but then in the end he asked me out. If you tell this guy you like him, you risk any friendship or unawkwardness, but can have a big reward in the end if it turns out he likes you. If you can't handle being rejected and losing any semblance of friendship, don't tell him but if you need to know and would rather have understanding than being led on, confront him. It's a one minute conversation.

Love,
~S.

My Sharpie hovered over the door, slowly reading the new note under my reply, solemnly.

Dear S,

Thanks for replying so quickly. I'm taking your words into serious consideration. What's this thing about 'ex-boyfriend'? Did it not work out between you and him?

~Anna

Remembering the scene earlier in the biology room, I gulped dryly, shaking my head sadly at the memories of my relationship with Terrence, before closing the bathroom door shut behind me with a loud bang and walking out grimly.
