15:The Quiet Kid

It has been two weeks since the incident. Daein remembers it clearly, always replaying in her head. Why did she do it? She doesn't know too

"Daein? Daein!" The teacher bangs her fist on the table getting Daein's attention

"Yes mam! I am awake so much!"

"Who did you pick as your partner for the project?" The teacher asks Daein. At this point Daein was confused, she just smiled with a nervous laugh to try to lighten the mood

"Ummm who is left?" I ask clearly not knowing what's going on

"Him. Go with him and you might get lucky if he talks or helps you. Goodluck." She heads back in front writing what to do for the project

"This is what you will do. I will send you an animal that you will learn to take care of and observe its movements and behavior. Be careful, they might bite. Write that down then class dismissed!" I wrote the things the board and started to pack my things

"The animal stays with you. Here is my number, tell me what happens to it." The guy leaves the classroom

"Wait what's your-"

"Jungwon."

Daein joins Wonyoung and Dohyun on their lunch table since she's the only friends she has

"Daein ah! I hear you have been partners with Jungwon! How is he? Did he talk?"

"Bold of you to assume he talks. He doesn't do any recitation in class. The guy is failing multiple classes." Dohyun tells Wonyoung

"I mean he is a fine boy. Why don't you ask him?" Wonyoung asks him

"I mean he just spoke a few sentences. Why is that so?"

"The dude never speaks. Didn't you hear me earlier?" Dohyun adds. It was silent because we were focused in finishing our meals

"Can I sit here please?" A boy asks with his unique voice

"Beat it-" Before Dohyun could finsh Wonyoung covers his mouth

"Yes you can Jungwon." I choked on my bibimbap hearing his name. Dohyun pats my back while Wonyoung is trying to get water

"WHY DIDN'T WE GET WATER?!"
Jungwon places his glass full of water infront of me. I slightly bow and thank him

"Drink up." Jungwon tells me as he stares into my soul as if he knows all my sins

"Thank you Jungwon." He smiles brightly at me while we were stunned at him smiling at us

"Your smile is beautiful Jungwon. I hope you should keep it that way."
I blurted out smiling back at him.
Jungwon's smile fades away in seconds. He eats his food as we eat ours. It was dead slient

"Why are you so quiet? Am I the problem?"

"Oh no! This is how we eat usually." Wonyoung answers him

My head was on the clouds. I didn't notice my math teacher calling me

"MS.DAEIN! ANSWER THE QUESTION!" I was back in reality after her yell

"Yes ma'am?" She gives me the chalk as I head over to the board

"Well? What's your answer? Are you just gonna stand there till I dismiss you?" I quiver in fear. Mrs. Joo was the terror teacher of the school, nobody likes to make her mad or wait

"I....erm? I don't? I'm not really sure.." I tell as my voice lowers then slowly putting down the chalk. Ms. Joo raised her left eye brow waiting for my answer

"Since Ms. Daein is stuck on this question, does anyone know the answer?" I turn to the class. No hands up, they were just staring at the board with whispers

"I'll help her ma'am." Jungwon stands from his seat. Walking to the board getting the chalk then solving the equation. The class just stared in awe watching the class quiet kid help me. While he is writing, he started explaining how to get the answer

"And that is how you get the point of 4×."

I head out the school's campus waiting for my bus. It was a bit traffic today since it was pay day. I sat on the bench, playing with my phone when a tall person stands in front of me

"Let's meet up tommorrow. Here at twelve noon."
