Play - Charles Leclerc

You boyfriend Charles Leclerc loved to play the piano. It always calmed him down, and you loved to listen to it. You were laying on the couch while Charles playing on the piano. Almost nobody knew how much he loved to play the piano until recently. It was always something that he wanted to keep private, but suddenly he shared something on Instagram, and everybody loved it. So now and then he posted a video of him playing the piano.

Right now, he was just playing to clear his head. It had been a long weekend, and as soon as you got up the morning after the race, he said down by the piano and started to play. It woke you up, but you didn't complain at all. You could wake up like that every day. Charles was no playing pain for almost two hours, and you weren't complaining. There was finally music in the apartment again. Whenever Charles left for another race weekend, the apartment became quiet. Even if you put on some music, it felt different.

Suddenly Charles stopped playing.

You looked up from the couch, wondering why he'd stopped playing. 'Why did you stop?' You asked him.

Charles looked at you, with a cheeky smile on his face.

'What?' you giggled.

'You want to learn something?' he asked.

'Always,' you said. You got up from the couch and sat next to Charles.

'It's called comptine d'un autre été.'

'One of my favourites.'

Charles nodded. 'I'm going to teach you the simple part. Place one finger here and the other here,' Charles said and pointed at the piano keys that you needed to touch. You laid your fingers on them, and Charles laid his hand on yours. He softly pressed on your fingers, which caused the sounds of the first few notes. 'And then with your other hand, you're going to do this,' Charles said and showed you what to do.

You quickly followed his lead, keeping up the rhythm that he showed you. You continued to play the same notes over and over again, while Charles played the other part.

A small smile grew on his face as you played the song together. The only that you heard was the sound of the piano, and if it was up to you, you could sit here all day just listening to the piano and sitting next to Charles.

The song ended, and you actually felt kind of sad that it was done.

'I learned something else,' Charles mumbled and started playing another song.

Your heart just melts as you heard the first notes. He was playing Bella's Lullaby from the movie Twilight, which is your absolute favourite movie. You smiled and laid your head on Charles his shoulder while you listened to the song.

'It's beautiful,' you said as soon Charles was done. 'Can we play comptine d'un autre été again?'

Charles laughed and nodded. Almost the whole day you spend behind the piano, making music and just having fun.
