"Someplace far away, a star soared across the sky. A king on a planet ruined and charred by war, a bandit on a planet where crystals and jewels sparkled left and right,
and a scientist on a lone planet that no longer knew how to shine, by fate, all three of them watched as the star fell through the night. Bearing their load of stories, intertwining their paths through dark tunnels with twinkling lights peaking through, their ships set sail."

"What are you doing?! Her majesty is about to come down and the table isn't even set yet!" you flinch as one of your fellow maids violently slaps the back of your head. Sighing as you close your favourite book, you brush yourself off before hastily joining her in the kitchen. People were frantically running all over the place, yelling at each other over the smallest little things. You struggle to keep your eyes open, seeing as it was still early morning and you had been kept awake all night thanks to a certain star-obsessed prince.

"What are you standing around for?! Help bring food to the table!" as you reluctantly start helping the other servants, you find yourself smiling as you set out the cutlery for the prince. It was a small kingdom and after the king had mysteriously vanished, the queen took control over it and ruled it all by herself. You would be happy to serve under such an incredible queen if it wasn't for the fact she treated her son so poorly.

You yourself had known the prince all your life, being assigned as one of his closest maids the second you were hired. To everyone in the castle, the prince was just the queen's son, an emotionless boy who did not do well in studies. However, to you the prince's name was Dice, and he was hilarious and hardworking even though the odds were rarely in his favour. He always put on a bored face whenever he was around his mother or any of the other servants, but you knew well that wasn't who he was at all.

You knew him by heart, memorizing every little thing that made him happy and letting him rely on you with such passion that you were, without doubt, his dearest friend. "That's not how you set a table at all! The knife and fork are supposed to be swapped!" The entire dining hall goes silent as a servant you've never seen before pushes you away from Dice's seat. As you realize they were probably new to the job, you try your best to stifle a laugh.

"Oh, no, you see, the Prince dislikes eating that way. He claims the fork doesn't fit correctly in his hand." you continue to smile as the new servant looks at you in disbelief. "And how do you know that? The prince never talks. Not even to his own mother." there's a mocking tone in their voice, as if the servant finds your prince pathetic. As the servant scoffs, you let out a shaky breath in an attempt to calm yourself, taking a step closer to Dice's seat before putting on a tense smile.

"He talks to me."

As you push the new servant away from the table as gently as you possibly can, you're thankful for the fact that your fellow maids are aware of your relationship with the prince, explaining it to the servant before a fight breaks loose. Before anyone has the chance to feel prepared, the dining room doors are opened, revealing a relaxed yet stern queen and her emotionless son behind her. As Dice spots you standing against the wall, he gives you a subtle smile before sitting down in his chair.

"Eggs, flour, apples and sugar." you say to yourself as you walk down the cobblestone path leading to town, a small basket in hand. As you approach a bridge, you mentally start writing the food items down as you were on your way to buy them, repeating yourself until you're sure it's stuck to your brain. "Eggs, flour, apples and sugar. Eggs, flour, apples and sugar. Eggs, flour-"

"Apples and sugar."

You freeze as you hear a voice coming from behind you. You had been so focused on what to buy that you had not noticed a certain short figure with obvious pink hair sitting on the bridge you had almost crossed. "Amemura!" you shout happily as you turn around to face him. He laughs as your eyes meet each other, jumping down from the ledge as he goes to give you a hug. "Nee~ I told ya you could call me Ramuda." he whines.
