17th November 2020.

Munnar, Kerala.

"Shree!" Madhav exclaimed as he was being pulled by his beloved out from their bedroom "Where are you taking me?"

"To the garden of course!" she said cheerfully "It's going to be enthralling. You will love it"

"NO! It's going to rain, Shree!" he said almost shouting.

Thunder roared somewhere in the distance and lightning cracked the sky. Thunder once more rumbled and shook the earth and droplets of water began to cascade down the earth from the sky and soak the rich soil of Munnar.

"It's just a little rain after all" she said.

"A little rain?" he asks taken aback "It's pouring outside! Why don't we spend some time inside instead?" Shree had just returned home after a busy day at school.

"I told you right, it's going to be enthralling! You'll love it!"

"Yes, I'll love it when I sit in bed with a running nose and a freaking high temperature!" He says.

"Then do as you please" she said mockingly as she took of her dupatta and ran to the garden, as the raindrops touched her.

"Nanna, can I also go?" Madhu asks as she stands on the veranda.

"No, go inside, kanamma!" Madhav says.

"But Amma-"

"She never listens to me." Madhav says. "But you do, don't you?"

Madhu nods and runs back inside.

Shree turned to face him "You're going to miss this, Madhav!"

He raised his hand gently in refusal and leaned onto a wall. "I don't think so Chellam!"

The rain drops fell on her head and dampen her head. The droplets of rain were tangling in her hair glistening like stars in the night sky, giving the impression of a princess wearing a diamond studded hair loom on her head. She expanded her hands as if to embrace the rain and closed her eyes and her lips curved delicately into a smile. The rain poured heavily and Madhav noticed the drops of rain touch her forehead, flow through her small nose and fall onto her red lips like beads of pearls.

Raindrops were flowing through the curve of her face, along her throat and soaked her yellow sari, drenching it. Precious and priceless drops. She was quite drenched within a few minutes, her silken sari, now almost translucent, exposed a great view of her shapely and slender waist.

It has been a few days after he had proposed to her. Both the families were excited when they announced it that night. Arrangements for their wedding were currently going on, and faster since Madhav and Shree both agreed to get married the next Sunday. Just five more days are remaining before they tie the knot, again.

When she said yes, he had pressed a deep kiss on her lips and pulled her into a bone crushing hug. He felt content while she felt loved in his embrace. She was indeed the best thing to have happened in his life. He cradled her in his arms pressing feathery kisses on her hair. He promised himself to make each day of their lives a grand festival, every minute memorable and never to make her feel lonely.
