Paintbrush's POV
I sat in my algebra class, last class of the day, with only one thing on my mind. Lightbulb. She's sweet, she's kind, she's pretty. Stop it paintbrush. The teacher stopped their talking and closed his textbook, "well class, have a wonderful day and don't do anything you'll regret" he smiled and we all began to pack our bags.
"Hey paintbrush!" A familiar voice tapped on my shoulder. I turned around to see fan and test tube smiling at me. "Would you wanna go to a café after school" fan asked cheerfully. "Uh sorry guys but I already made plans with lightbulb" I laughed awkwardly and quickened my pace. "Oh... that's ok!" Fan yelled as I turned the corner. I sigh and walk out of the main doors. They led to a beautiful area that was filled with many flowers and bushes.
Lightbulb told me that she would be waiting for me at a old park on Jackster street. That was about a 20 minute walk from school. I grabbed my earbuds and just listen to some mother mother or lemon demon.
The walk was long but I had finally made it to the little over grown play ground that light bulb was talking about.
I saw her sitting on a picnic blanket wearing a strawberry dress with her hair tied up into a perfect bun... well, almost perfect. She saw me a started to wave me over to her spot. "PAINTY OVER HERE!" Her voice was filled with joy. I felt my face begin to heat up. Fuck.
I sat down in front of her, "hey lightbulb". She opens the basket and pulls out a sandwich for the both of us. "I hope you like it... I made it myself" she seemed a bit nervous about me eating the sandwich. I took a bite. Not the best sandwich I had but not the worst either. "It's good" I nodded to her and she shook her head rapidly at me which made me laugh. We continued to eat the tiny foods that she had made and just laughed and joked around.
The sun began to set and the stars began to show. A beautiful sight to see. Lightbulb and I decided to lay down and just watch the stars and point out constellations.
"I think that one is the Big Dipper" she pointed up.
"Yeah" I lightly sighed.
"Painty... are you okay?" She asked concerned. "O-oh... I'm fine yeah... why?" God damnit I fucked that up. "Well your face has been pretty red and you didn't seem to talk that much" she didn't look away from the stars.
Could I tell her. Could I tell her that I like her. Right here's right now.
I took a deep breath and sighed.
"Lightbulb..." I managed to say
"Yeah" she finally looked away from the stars and over to me.
"I... I- uhhh. I really like you..." I quickly looked away from her and covered my face.
"Oh... well, good to hear because I sure as hell wasn't gonna say any time soon" she got up and help me up the hugged me tightly.
"So... are we..." was all I could say because she interrupted me.
"Yes"
Well that was short but motivation right in the middle of this said "ha bitch, I'm leaving you"
