AREUM SHOVED HER HANDS INTO her jacket pockets as she walked beside Changkyun. They were currently walking back to her dorm after eating dinner together.

"How did you like the restaurant?" Changkyun asks. "I remembered last time you said your favorite Tteok-bokki place is closed down for a while, so I was hoping this could make up for that."

Areum smiled at his words. She then looks to him. "I really loved it. Thank you for finding it. We'll have to go again sometime."

Changkyun looks at her and smiles as well. He nods. "Yeah, definitely."

They turn away from each other, both wanting to hide their blushing faces.

The two stop outside Areum's dorm. Areum then turns to look at him. "Thank you for tonight. Practice has really been killing me lately so I needed this little break time."

Changkyun smiles again at her. "Of course. Though I can't say this dinner wasn't a little selfish on my part as I needed a little break also."

"Well, I'm happy you chose me as a distraction."

"And I'm happy you allowed me be yours as well."

Areum let out a laugh. "Goodnight, Kyun. Text me when you get home, ok?"

Changkyun purses his lips and nods at her. "Goodnight, Areum."

Areum smiles once more at him before turning around to walk inside the building. But before she can even walk inside, she's stopped by the sound of Changkyun calling her name.

"Areum!"

Areum turns around to look at him with a confused expression.

"Yeah?"

Changkyun exhales slowly before speaking up again. "I like you."

Areum stares at him for a few seconds, not knowing if she heard him right. "You what?"

"I like you, Areum." He repeats. "I'm sorry. I know how you feel about dating right now, but I'm just tired of keeping it from you." Changkyun babbles before sighing. "I just really like you and I needed to tell you before I don't ever get the chance too again."

Areum doesn't know how to respond as she just looks at him. Changkyun lets out another sigh. "Please don't hate me after this. Please don't stop being my best friend. I'm sorry if I've made things weird. It's something I can deal with on my own. If you're going to reject me I'd rather you just say nothing because I can't handle-"

"I'm not rejecting you." Areum interrupts making Changkyun look up at her.

His eyes widen as hope fills inside them. "You're not?"

Areum shakes her head. "I'd be crazy if I did."

Changkyun opens his mouth to speak but nothing comes out. He hadn't expected her to not reject him. In fact, all he prepared himself for with this confession was rejection. So, now he was stumped. He hadn't thought of what to do next.

"But I'm scared, Changkyun." Areum tells him.

"I know you're scared." He begins. "And I can't lie to you and say this will be easy, because we know it won't be. But I am willing to do everything I possibly can to make sure you never have to be scared again. I want to make this work. I want to be with you, Areum."

Areum gulps as tears begin to fill her eyes. The sincerity in his voice completely wiped out any fear she previously had about relationships. She believed his words. "I want to be with you too, Changkyun."

Changkyun had to stop himself from jumping up and down from of his excitement. So instead he smiled happily at her. "Are we still seeing each other again in a couple weeks?"

Areum nods. "Yeah."

Changkyun nods back. "It's a date then?"

Areum let's out a small laugh. "Yeah, it's a date. Goodnight, Kyun."

Changkyun bites his bottom lip, in an attempt to contain the smile on his face from getting any bigger. "Goodnight, Areum."

He watches as she walks into the building. Once she's out of his sight he let's out sigh of relief and jumps from excitement, as he wanted to do earlier.

As Areum made her way to her dorm room she couldn't hide the blush on her face. She never expected to grow feelings for Changkyun, but throughout these past few months, she just couldn't help it. Though apart of her was still scared of starting something with him, she was thankful for her first relationship because now she had an idea of what to do better moving forward. Like Changkyun said, it definitely wasn't going to be easy, but she was ready for this newfound relationship with Changkyun.
