Jonathan sighed. He didn't understand Lin sometimes.

He had invited him over, like many times before. Jonathan was meant to go home, to leave.

"Well, I think it's time I head out now."

"Stay." Lin said, staring him down.

"Um-?"

"Yeah, stay, Jonathan! If you'd like to of course. Everything is so much better when you're around." V had said, agreeing with Lin without really knowing what she had agreed upon.

"Oh… alright."

"I'll help him get situated." Lin volunteered, jumping from his seat.

"Goodnight." Lin said from the side of the bed.

Jonathan, simply sitting down, pulled his hand towards him.

"I love you…"

"Love you too." He leaned down, and kissed Groff's nose.

He watched Lin leave the room.

Jonathan didn't know why he was so easily persuaded.

Both men had been in a secret relationship for about a year, saying that they were simply close friends. They would switch locations, sometimes going to the park, sometimes spending the night at Jonathan's, but rarely would they spend the night at Lin's. He loved both Vannesa and Groff, but never found the courage to tell his wife.

Lin, being such an energetic guy, always experimented, always had fun. So when he first kissed Jonathan behind the cameras, he didn't think too much of it. Now they were a year in.

So, Jonathan didn't understand exactly how he was so easily persuaded. He has felt so much heartbreak in the past year, more than his whole life. He didn't know why he stayed the night, why he always kissed Lin back.

Laying down on his sides, he contemplated all of this, wondering if Lin wanted him just as bad as he did.

To answer his questions, Lin slowly crept back into the guest room.

"Groffsauce." He whispered. What a silly nickname. He loved it, knowing that it was reserved for him, and only him.

"Lin? What are you doing?"

"I missed you."

"What if Vanessa wakes up?"

"I sleepwalk all the time, don't worry."

Jonathan looked at him, wondering how that justified the reason he was here.

Lin walked over to the bed, and jumped under the covers.

"I don't know if we should be doing this."

"Too late for that now. It's been a year."

"I'm aware."

"So stop feeling guilty."

"You're not?" This made Lin freeze.

"Of course I am. But I love both of you, so I don't necessarily regret it."

Both cuddled each other in silence, not knowing where exactly they would end up. Hopefully together.

"Don't fall asleep." Jonathan murmured against his hair, carefully cradling him.

Lin grumbled, and wrapped his arms around Jonathan.

Even though Jonathan was against it, he let Lin fall asleep. He knew how hard it was for him to fall asleep. After about an hour of taking pictures (of Lin sleeping of course) and watching him sleep, he promptly woke Lin up.

"Baby… wake up. You have to go back in the room."

"No… it's cold over there."

"Next week, we'll spend the night at my place, okay?"

Lin rubbed his eyes, "Promise?"

"Of course. Now get up."

Lin suddenly got up, the warm sheets surrounding him. He threw his arms around Groff, and kissed him. Smiling against each other's mouth, Jonathan walked him back to the room, heart both sinking and lifting.

They didn't know what they were doing anymore, but they sorely needed each other.
