Shade smiled a little as Ewatomi greeted her. Looking at the jotter in her hand, she guessed she was going to see Luke.

"Where are you going?" Shade asked and Ewatomi hesitated before replying.

"I'm going to see Snr Luke" Ewatomi replied and Shade snickered.

"Luke?" Shade asked feigning surprise.

"Yes. He helped me with some of my school work and gave me some assignments" Ewatomi replied and Shade folded her hands.

"Really? I didn't know you guys were that close" Shade said and Ewatomi swallowed her saliva. She felt weird talking about Luke with Shade.

"Snr Shade, we have classes soon so can we go? We have to drop the assignments and run back" Fikayo said feeling weird as well.

"Oh. You can go" Shade said and Ewatomi nodded as she started walking away.

"Ewatomi" Shade called and Ewatomi turned and Shade walked up to her.

"I don't what's going on or what you are doing but I have few words for you. You and Luke are not in the same league and he's mine so don't even think of doing anything" Shade said as Ewatomi swallowed her saliva and dropped her head.

She heard that Shade did intimidate a lot of girls who liked Luke. She threatened them and made a lot of them stop chasing and liking Luke. Ewatomi had thought that they were all rumours and they were not true.

Shade was sweet and although had a lot of flaws,  Ewatomi had never thought that she would be the type to do all those things.

"Do you copy? Stay away from him. And infact, don't let me see you on SSS3 block" Shade added as she hissed and walked away.

Ewatomi blinked back the tears rushing to her eyes as she grabbed Fikayo.

"Let's go back" She said as she hurried back into the class.

The teacher entered after them and Fikayo watched as Ewatomi could barely keep up her concentration in the class. She rubbed her forehead unable to believe that Shade had done such a thing.

The moment it was time for break she sat down on the seat in front of Ewatomi and Ewatomi played with her fingers without a word.

"I really can't believe that person is Snr Shade" Fikayo said and Ewatomi pursed her lips.

"I guess the rumours are really true" Ewatomi said as she sighed.

"Ewatomi, do you like Snr Luke?" Fikayo asked and Ewatomi winced.

"He's cute and brillant. Who doesn't like him?" Ewatomi asked as Fikayo raised an eyebrow at her.

"You know that's not what I'm talking about" Fikayo said and Ewatomi played with her fingers pursing her lips.

"I don't know" Ewatomi said as she sighed and raised her head to meet Fikayo's eyes.

"Ewatomi, there's nothing bad in liking Snr Luke. But you know who Adele-Akinniyi Luke is" Fikayo said and Ewatomi nodded.

"I know who he is and all and yet I still like him. Very much" Ewatomi blurted out.

Fikayo chuckled and Ewatomi pursed her lips again.

"It seems like Snr Shade goes crazy anytime it concerns Snr Luke" Fikayo said as Ewatomi dropped her head.

"More like she's obsessed with him" Fikayo added as Ewatomi sighed.

"I know how nasty Snr Shade can get. I have to stay away from Snr Luke" Ewatomi said and Fikayo sighed.

"What do you think Snr Luke would do if he heard about what Snr Shade did?" Fikayo asked and Ewatomi shrugged.

"I don't know. He'll probably ignore it or even support Snr Shade, they'll be friends for a while now. Snr Luke and I had barely been friends for a month yet" Ewatomi replied as she bit her lower lip.

"Something tells me he'll do the exact opposite. Let's go to the cafeteria" Fikayo said and Ewatomi shook her head.

"I can't. If I see Snr Luke; I'll have the urge to talk to him and Snr Shade will make my life miserable" Ewatomi replied and Fikayo sighed.

"Okay. I'll get you something from the cafeteria" Fikayo said and Ewatomi nodded as she brought out her jotter and traced her hand over Luke's handwriting.

Luke slowly sipped his drink while looking around. He caught Shade looking at him and he met her eyes unfazed. Shade was the one who lowered her eyes instead.

Luke could tell something was bothering her or she was uneasy about something. He glanced at Kunle who seemed to be frowning.

Seeing Shade at the table, Fikayo dared not walk up to Luke. She sat afar off staring at Kunle who was looking around.

Their eyes met and Fikayo nodded her head towards him without taking her eyes off him. Fikayo wondered what kind of sign to make for Kunle to come out and she started dramatising while Kunle frowned.

"What's she doing?" Kunle murmured. He obviously recognized Fikayo was Ewatomi's best friend. Seeing her wave her hands towards him as if trying to pass him a message looked funny to him.

He grabbed his Nutri-milk and stood up before walking towards her. He sat in front of her startling the students who were also on the same table. Even Fikayo was dazed at first and she swallowed her saliva.

"Fikayo right?" Kunle asked as he uncapped his drink and slid a straw inside.

"Yes" Fikayo replied in a small voice.

"Okay. You wanna say something?" Kunle asked her and Fikayo nodded while Kunle looked around.

"Where's Ewatomi?" Kunle asked and Fikayo dropped her head.

"What happened?" Kunle asked and Fikayo smiled for a nano second glancing to see if Shade had noticed her. She heaved a sigh of relief seeing that Shade hadn't noticed her.

Kunle followed her line of sight and rolled his eyes. She did it again but at the wrong person this time around.

"Shade threatened Ewatomi bah?" Kunle asked and Fikayo looked at him shocked.

"How did you know?" Fikayo asked as Kunle sighed.

"Its a pity she didn't get a yellow card and had to get a red card straight up" Kunle said as he continued sipping his drink.
