        I felt so disappointed. So stupid. How could I think that I actually had a chance with him? Of course he would have fiance. I should've known.

        I sneaked through the crowd, looking for my mother. My head suddenly hurt. Sighing in frustration, I finally found my mother. Talking with another drunken man like she always does, at every single party.

        "Mother..." I stood next to her patiently, but she failed to notice me. "Mother." Still, she did not turn. I repeated myself louder. "Mother!" She finally turned.

        "...What?" She looked annoyed.

        "I'm ready to leave."

        "Hah, what's the hurry? Go mess around or something. I don't care"

        I knew there was no point in trying anymore. She was as stubborn as a mule. I stepped back into the crowd, just hoping Ciel Phantomhive didn't run into me again.

        ....BUT, considering MY luck, he would run into me again. So I did the safest thing I could think of. Go to the garden. Surely, no one would bother me there. Looking around quickly, I silently slipped out of the ballroom and outside, into the frosty winter night.
