Y/N

"Guh.. what happened?" I murmured, peering at the pure white of the room I was in. Tired, I attempted to get up while under the assumption I'd accidentally overused my quirk again or something.

'We were in Hosu, and.. Oh right! Iida, Deku and Todoroki were all there too!'

In a rush of a adrenaline I hopped out of bed, slightly dazed.

Then I realized I had no idea how long I'd been asleep for. Then the fact that I was in a hospital room.

'Huh? I thought we defeated Stain and got him to the authorities, what happened to me?'

I couldn't help but wonder as I carefully tread across the pristine room, noticing it was empty as I came into my senses.

'Where is everyone..?'

I walked out into a hallway, which should've been bustling with life, empty. There was a faint flicker of something forming next to me, so I turned to take a look at it. It didn't look like it should've been there. Like a smudge on a clean glass, black lines fidgeted in the air of the clean white hospital.

The substance swirled around before creeping up my body. Black tendrils sunk into my skin before disappearing, but when they did I'd realized they hadn't changed anything.

Or so I thought.

I felt heavier. Sadder. Just like the grief I felt the day of my Papa's murder, but worse.

'What is going on with me?'

I shook, clenching a fist as I attempted to steady myself. I felt so hopeless and I wasn't sure why. But on top of that, there was something else that was going to happen soon. Something big. Something bad.

Then I woke up.

...

"Y/N!" I heard someone exclaim from next to me. Groggily, I sat up as I faintly recalled my dream.

'I'm getting this weird sense of déjà vu here..'

I turned to see Todoroki and Deku, one of whom had shouted my name earlier. I rubbed my eyes and shot them a tired smile, yawning slightly.

"Hey guys! Is something wrong?" I tilted my head curiously, shaking off the dreadfulness that's was haunting me what felt like a few minutes previously.

"Y/N.. you've been sleeping for a really long time. About 2 days now I think? And just now you began seizing, we thought something was wrong!" Deku informed me, still looking pretty worried.

'Aw.. I worried them because of that?'

"A-ah.. I'm all fine, see? I just get overly tired when I overuse my quirk- I guess you could say it's my drawback- and since I probably busted out the last of my energy that night, I just needed some rest aha," I chuckled slightly as their faces relaxed ever so slightly.

Suddenly, the door swung open and we glanced over to see Iida in a wheelchair, coming over to us. "Hey Iida! How are you doing?"

I vaguely recalled healing him and the other hero, Native while Todoroki and Deku fought off Stain. 'Actually, what happened to him anyways..?'

"Thanks to you I am almost fully healed, Y/N-san. Unfortunately, I've received some nerve damage, however that can be fixed by surgery."

I felt really bad that I couldn't do more, or rather that my healing on him wasn't affective enough despite the strength I put into the Green Flame that night. Face slightly downcast, I looked back at him, "O-oh? Will you be getting the surgery soon then..?"

"Actually, I've decided to keep my hand as it is for now. He may have been a bad person, but he was right about one thing: my actions were selfish, not something an aspiring hero should've done. I'll strive to become a better hero, and my hand will be a reminder of that," he responded. "Again Y/N, I must thank you for everything you, as well as a Todoroki and Midoriya did for me."

I brightened a little, clasping his uninjured hand gently. "Aww, Iida.. that's what friends are for after all!"

I couldn't count the number of times my own classmates had helped me these past few weeks, including the fact that since joining class 1A, the number of 'nightly terrors' as I liked to call then had decreased. Ever since we'd met I just felt.. happier, and I couldn't thank them enough for it.

I noticed Deku and Todoroki give us small smiles, although they looked a little strained, leading me to wonder if they were fully healed or not. I didn't have long to think about it, however, as the door to the hospital room opened and a man in a suit walked in.

'Dog.. man?'

"Ah, Ms. Y/N, I see you're awake. Good," he tells us, before introducing himself as chief of police.

Behind him trailed Gran Torino and Iida's supervisor, Manual.

"Regarding the Hero Killer, he's sustained several burns, bone fractures among other serious injuries, and is currently undergoing treatment. For a long time now there have been rules set in place to emphasize protocol. Even if it was against the Hero Killer himself, you kids have broken the law."

I could feel the tension that'd just been put into the room thicken as each word spurred out of his mouth.

Todoroki was first to speak. "Wait, sir.. If Iida hadn't done anything, then Mr. 'Native' would've been killed. And if Midoriya had not arrived sooner, the both of them would be dead!"

He sounded slightly exasperated, which I understood fully.

"So are we just supposed to sit by and watch other people die when we could've helped?!"

"So is it only right to break the rules if it goes your way?"

The younger boy called him a 'mutt', and I winced slightly.

"Just wait a second boy, see what he has to say," Gramps interjected.

"It is true that you kids have broken hero protocol and the law. If this story were to go public, you'd be showered with praise everywhere, however punishment would be inevitable. Or.. we could say that Endeavour came in to save the day. The burns match up with the story. And you kids could get off with no punishment. So then young pups, what is your decision?"

The four of us exchanged glances, and the decision was silent but unanimous.

I spoke up for the first time since the chief had arrived. "Sir, I'd like to apologize for the damage that we all caused that night. And thank you for this opportunity." I bowed slightly before looking up to see what looked like his eyes softening slightly.

"It's a blessing you all are well, and I commend you for your bravery. You may not get the recognition you deserve for this, but as chief of police I would like to personally thank you four for saving us."

I smiled slightly. Deku slumped in relief, while Todoroki and Iida held their usual expressions in place.

After he'd left, Iida and Deku boy got an earful from their mentors. Gramps also decided to scold me a little, even if I didn't do much fighting.

Once the last of the adults had left, a considerable amount of tension left the room with them as Todo-kun spoke up once again.

"I feel like there's something wrong with me."

I looked at him curiously.

"It seems every time I'm involved someone's hand get injured. Am I cursed? Are you next, Y/N?" At that point I couldn't help but let out a snort, them a giggle. It wasn't long before I was full-on laughing at his comment.

Iida and Deku had similar reactions, although theirs were a little more.. incredulous.

"It's like I'm the hand crusher or something.."

We'd all ended up laughing at Todoroki's antics, the stress of the earlier conversation dissipating into nothingness.

Considering all that had happened so far, I'd say we deserved some rest.
