That turned into a Touch

Part 4

I clung onto Nathaniel feeling the need to be coddled by him. To feel safe and protected as his warmth would engulf me like an invisible cloak from the harsh realities of this cruel world. And as he sat beside me taking in word for word from Sophia my eyes couldn't help but wander across the room to where Ria stood. The obvious need for her knees to buckle and the way her lips quivered said it all. But her eyes bore so much pain and sadness. My heart went out to her.

I signalled her to come sit next to me. She looked at me and shook her head acknowledging the fact that she couldn't move. I looked at her, she put her head down as though she felt disgraced. 

I stood up and walked towards her not breaking eye contact feeling as though if I did she would lose all hope. I grabbed her, she broke down in my arms. My poor sister. 

I hugged her letting her know that I didn't blame her for that bastard coming into my house and taking my kids. 

Sophia our lawyer spoke,

"So this is simple. He left the kids in their mother's hands giving up all right to them. On her will she has made you Shaye, the guardian. I have all the paperwork here. Let's go get your kids"

Nathaniel stood up 

"That's all I needed to hear. Babe let's go. "

I let go of Ria. I lifted up her chin so that she was looking at me

"It's not your fault Ria. We will get them back ok. I love you so much and thank you for looking after my kids."

I kissed her cheek and quickly followed Nathaniel who had already made his way to the car

"That son of a b*sh is gona get it if he has laid one hand on my kids."

He looked at me and my lawyer.

"Are you a good defense lawyer as well as a family one?"

Sophia looked confused.

"My lawfirm takes on such cases. Why...."

"Good because I'm going to need one to get me out on bail. Shaye go with Sophia in her car. I'll meet you there."

He jumped in his car and sped off. Sophia and I shared a worried glance before she spoke.

"He wouldn't really do something silly would he?"

But even as the question left her lips she knew the answer. We ran for her car to catch up with Nathaniel. Sophia already making a call to one of her colleagues.

I silently prayed in my head Nathaniel had the will power to not kill Him...

When we finally arrived in front of the house Nathaniel's car was parked on the front yard. Burnout tire marks were seen from the top of the street all the way onto the front lawn. In that moment a loud crash sounded from inside. Running to the house the front door crashed open by the kids sperm donor's body flying over the balcony landing hard on the ground.

My eyes felt like it was going to pop out of my sockets.

Nathaniel stood at the door in all his Glory.He looked like an Avenging Arc Angel..

The sperm donor struggled to his feet, but Nathaniel collared him up.

"Hows it feel to be slapped around like a b*sh now? It's not so nice when you're on the receiving end is it?." 

Nathaniel hooked him twice and threw him into the car. 

"You're making a mistake. What's the judge going to say when he finds out you're a violent mother f**ker?"
