Chapter: 17

 "You called us? Lo or Li asked I am sitting in the sitting area of my chamber,
"Yeah take a seat, Jun you can go" she bowed and left, both of them sat in front of me on the other side of the table,

Kai is sitting on the other side of the room, eating berries, I was reading my book, after completing the paragraph I was reading, I closed the book and put it on the table in front of me, both of them are patiently waiting for me to continue,

"Ladies tell me one thing, Zuko told me that you worked here almost your whole life's?",

"Yes we have" one of them answered, getting impatient, "You must have seen a lot of traitors get caught?"

"We have" both of them answered in unity getting confused at the direction of this conversation,

"So you know how traitors are treated, then why did you go behind your queens back?" I took the glass of freshly squeezed juice from in front of me,

"What", "We did no such thing" they both panicked, I raised my hand making them quite,

"You worked with princess Azula means you both for sure know Mai, I know you told her about Jiang"

"No, we didn't....." I cut them off, "Don't you dare lie" I raised my voice a little, they lowered their head in surrender, "Please forgive us", "We beg for your mercy" they both bowed down,

I stood up, "I don't like when people go behind my back, since you both have been serving this kingdom for so long I will show you kindness, you both are being retired, leave"

"Thank you my lady" they bowed and left without another word,
"Kai go get Jun", she got up and left, after few minutes she comeback with Jun,

"You called for me?" she asked walking in, "yeah I did, who is the head of the staff?" I asked,

"That will be madem Biyu" she replied, "Why hasn't she came to introduced herself?" I asked, getting mad,

"She likes to stay to herself", that's not a good reason, "Go get her"

I sat back down, Kai came and sat next to me, "You went hard on those old ladies"

"The last thing I want is that servants start leaking information" I replied, she chuckled, a knock came from the other side of the door, "Come in"

An old lady almost in her fifties came in, with Jun standing behind her, "Jun wait outside" she bowed and left,

"Fire lady" the old lady bowed, I pointed in front of me, where lo and lee were sitting, she took a seat, "Why haven't you come to introduce yourself?" I asked, "My lady, I didn't think it matters" she replied, she seems Strict,

"So coming to meet your queen doesn't matter" I raised my eyebrows, "I meant no disrespect, I apologies" she bowed,

"Biyu, let's get down to business, it has been bought to my attention that rumors are going around the staff, that's not how it gonna work under my rule"

"That's what people do, you can't stop rumors," she said little confused, "Yes we can, believe me"

"We are going to make few changes around here, at first I retired Lo and Li, other than that we are going to pull the leash, the staff will learn to not get involved in the royal business, either you teach them because if I had to do it myself it won't be pleasant for them"

"If you can't do your job right; you have no place here, either you keep them in control or I will find someone who can" I warned her,

"I will try" she lowered her head, "Other than that I want Kai and Jun to take control of the wedding, make sure everyone is being cooperative with them, they will be the one planning everything with me"
