"Are you ready?" Yeji asked. She's the only one who stayed here in my apartment. We were both getting picked up by the boys.

"Kinda... Do I look good?" I asked her for the last time.

"For the nth time Choi Julia. Yes. If uncle Choi is seeing this, I bet he'll be telling you that you look wonderful," Yeji said while smiling.

"Where are those boys for goodness sake." Yeji whined while I was still nervous.

Just to make everything clear. Soobin and I aren't dating. He just asked me to be his date. That's all. So, I can't act like I'm his girl when I'm not.

Then, we heard the doorbell rang, and Yeji and I both went downstairs. I saw that there was a limousine outside my apartment. Don't tell me we're going to ride that thing.

"Yeonjunieee~!" Yeji screamed. Yeonjun spreads his arms, and hugged Yeji tightly.

"Yah you're going to smudge my makeup."

"Smudged or not. With makeup or without. You still look beautiful," Yeonjun said, and kissed Yeji's forehead. How sweet. I looked up to Soobin who was also watching the sweet couple in front of us. He looked at me, and I looked away.

"Hey Julia," he spoke. He then gave me the flower bracelet that is supposed to be given to the girls.

"Thanks," I said.

"That bracelet means that you're my date. That also means you're my girl today." Only for today? I shook my head getting rid of that thought, and went in the limousine.

Yeji was leaning on Yeonjun's shoulder. They were also holding hands. I smiled. They might look too sweet, but as long as Yeji's happy then I'm happy for her.

I sat beside Yeji, and Soobin sat beside me. I was silent the whole ride.

"Hey." Soobin called me.

"Yeah?" I said.

"It's okay. Don't be sad. I'm sure your dad's happy that you're here," he said and pats my head for comfort.

"Thanks Soobin."

We finally got in the venue.

The place was packed with students.

Loud music welcomes my ears.

Students dancing in the middle of the place, and everyone cheering them on. Just like prom.

We sat on our designated table, and since I wasn't in the mood for partying. I decided to stay in my seat. Yeji and Yeonjun decided to dance eventually. Soobin however, decided to stay with me. I tried to convince him to go with the sweet couple, or maybe with his friends, but he answered me this.

"I'd rather spend my time with you. It's better."

The event started, and slideshows of the events that has happened in the whole year started to show up. Suddenly, a picture was shown of me and Soobin before.

His arms wrapped around me, and his hands doing a peace sign while I was smiling sarcastically. Good old times I guess.

After the short introduction, it was now time for the dance.

I still didn't like to dance, so I sat down and watch everyone have the time of their lives.

Then a slow music started to play. Soobin stood up, and offered his hand to me. "May I have this dance?"

I rolled my eyes and accepted it.

"I told you I don't want to dance." I said.

"Yet you're here with me." He smiled. I did too. This guy seriously.

He placed his hands on my waist, and I immediately felt my cheeks burning. I was looking at him, but when I suddenly felt embarrassed. I looked down. He chuckles lightly, and holds my chin gently making me look up at him.

"Don't be shy. It's just me."

I rested my hands on his shoulder, and we started dancing. I was looking up to him because of his tall height. He seemed to notice, and laughed at me.

"You're so cute..." He whispered and I heard. My heart started to beat faster than normal, and he looked at me once again.

"Do you know?" He spoke.

"What?" I asked.

"Your dad gave me a letter." My eyes widened in shock. What? How?

"I mean he wrote me one. Your aunt gave me that letter when we went to the hospital."

"What does it say?"

"I can't tell you everything. I promised to him not to, but there's one thing I can tell you." He said.

"What is it?"

We stopped dancing, and he held both of my hands, and looked straight to my eyes.

"I'll never break my promise to him that I will never break your heart, and I will stay with you 'til the end."

His face softened while looking at me. He was saying those words in his sincerest. But...

Soobin. Are you sure you can keep that promise?

That was the question I wanted to ask him, instead of questioning him. I hugged him, and I felt that he froze for a second.

I will never know if he's going to keep that promise, if I don't accept him. Sometimes...you just have to take the risk to know if a person's love is true or not.
