Chapter Seventy Seven

It comes back to me after a while I start to feel less anxious about the truths and dares as they are harmless.

I pick one up smiling from the last turn that Maxi had. "Dare." I flip it and my heart stops, "Have you ever cheated on someone?" I gulp, does that kiss count as a cheat? It's not like we had sex or anything...I think to myself getting a little nervous.

I look up at Harrison and he looks at me his eyebrow up waiting for an answer. Then I look at everyone else and they all question my silence.

Chappo looks at me looking at my nervous and scared figure. My heart pounds so loud I'm pretty sure everyone can hear it. I look down feeling ashamed.

Olivia slaps Jake's arm. "Ow."

"I told you not to put that one in." She whispers.

"I don't see anything wrong with it..." He scuffs

"I kissed her." I look up at Chappo. "She was drunk but I wasn't and the night kinda got away from me." I look at Harrison who frowns at the both of us. Chappo takes a breath. "I guess I took advantage of that and being how drunk she was she kissed me back but that does not count as Cheating. Take the blame on me because it's not her fault.......it's my fault I kissed her."

Harrison gets up quickly making the wooden chair he sat in scrape on the title floor.

He stares at Chappo.

"Harrison...I'm so sorry.."

I look at Harrison's jaw and it clenches. "Now Harrison think about what your going to do." Whippet says.

"Your dead to me." He says

"Harrison he didn't mean—" He cuts me off

"Don't even say anything Tess."

He walks away out of the house and slams the door behind him.

"Ooookay. I think we're done with this game." Olivia says.

"Harrison!" I shout after him about to get up but Maxi stands in front of me sitting me down.

"I think you would just give him some air."

Narrator's P.O.V

Tessa stares at the door with a blank face shocked to what just happened.

With a flick of realization that Harrison is more mad at her and probably will never talk to the girl again, her bottom lip quivers. She gets up quickly and pushing Maxi to the side putting a hand on her mouth.

She feels tears leak out of her blue green eyes. A sob escapes the girl's lips as she runs to the stairs and runs up them another sob escaping her lips.

"Well this is going lovely." Jake says to everyone who is still stunned to what happened themselves.

Whippet is next to speak. "I'll go talk to her." He makes his way up the stairs.

Following the sounds of sobs he opens the door to see her on the floor of the big bathroom her head in her hands.

"Tess." Whippet starts kneeling beside her.

"He's never going to speak to me ever again isn't he?" Tessa exclaims with tear soaked eyes.

"No, no. Don't say that. He will." Whippet tells her pulling her into his arms. She puts her arms around the kind Lifeguard and hugs him tightly.

She sobs into his shoulder, "Will he?" She asks him

"I know Harrison. He doesn't hold a grudge for long. It may seem like it but he feels the opposite, guilty that he was like that." He strokes her hair like he does with his kids when they are upset, "Trust me. He told me that he was."

The tear soaked eyes look up at him, "Really?"

"Yeah. He told me that he felt bad for blowing up on you like that."

"Did he really?" She asks can't believing his words.

"Of course he's still not happy that it happened but he feels guilty for yelling at you and saying those things."

Tess sniffles pulling away. Whippet pulls off a piece of toilet paper and gives it to her. She chuckles, "Thanks.." He dabs her eyes not wanting to ruin her makeup anymore that it already is.

"I think you should go talk to him." Whippet says, "Give him a bit to cool down, while you do that you clean up alright?" He says helping her to her feet.

She nods and gives him a hug, "Thank you Whippet."

"Now I gotta get going. It's 11:30 and my wife wants me to be home with the kids for the count down." He gives her a smile, "I had fun."

"Me too."

"Hope everything works out." He tells her. He rubs her arm giving her another smile.

"Me too."

He gives a wink and then exits the bathroom.

The broken hearted girl sighs fixing her makeup. Then putting her makeup back in her small hand bag and zipping it up.

She takes a breath before leaving the bathroom and making her way down the stairs music is going again.

"You alright Tess?" Olivia asks her putting a hand on her shoulder.

"Yeah...I'm just going to give Harrison a talk.."

"Okay..well I'll be here if you need to talk after if it doesn't go right or something okay?" She tells her

Tessa gives a little chuckle, "Thanks Olive."

Olivia gives her a nod. Tessa opens the door seeing Harrison sitting on the cement stairs running his fingers through his hair, she closes the door behind her catching his attention.

Tessa's P.O.V

"Harrison..." I start, I sit beside him. "Harrison I'm so sorry for letting that kiss happen...it was wrong of me I—"

"You were drunk..." He says finishing my sentence, "I know."

"Then you know I was stupid and foolish."

"The only stupid and foolish one here is Chris." He says

"Chappo said he was sorry." I tell him furrowing my eyebrows.

"But he wasn't drunk like you." Harrison tells me.

"But he feels guilty and bad about what he did. You broke his heart in there Harrison."

"Well I meant what I said." He says frowning

"Are you?" I ask

His face softens, "No...."

"Chappo made a mistake and he regrets it deeply. I think you say that you didn't mean it. Cause you didn't why make him think you still do."

He sighs, "I guess your right."

He turns to me, "I'm sorry for yelling at your Tess. You didn't deserve that either....I was just angry at the fact that you would do that...and I thought that I lost you for good knowing how close you are to Chappo." He looks down in his lap.

I pick up his head to look at me by his chin. His soft brown eyes look into mine. "There's no one else but you Harrison.."  He gives me a half smile.

He tucks some hair behind my ear. I give him a smile blushing at his touch. He leans towards me my eyes slowly shut as I feel his soft lips on mine.

Pulling me close he kisses me lovingly. I run my fingers through his hair.

We pull apart and I blush madly like our first kiss. I giggle a bit. He rubs my cheek with his thumb.

"Love you Tessa and always will."

"Not as much as I do." I smile pecking his lips.

I squeal happily hoping into his lap and wrapping my legs around me.

"You don't know how much I wanted you back." I tell him hugging him.

I sniffle trying to hold back tears. "I thought I lost you forever."
