"Sorry guys." You sighed as the last few people trickled out of the garage.

Most took you kicking them out surprisingly well while only a handful shot annoyed glares at you and grumbled remarks about you letting Kid decide things for you under their breath. They could be pissy all they wanted, as long as they left before he came back. They didn't want to know how bad he'd be if they were still here when he got home, hell, you didn't want to know either.

Nami was the last to leave, pausing in the doorway with a question burning away at her, you could see it in her eyes.

"Sorry about getting you in trouble, do you think he'll cut you some slack?"

"Maybe." You shrugged. "I think if I can get things back in order around here, he'll be a bit nicer about it."

"Good luck with that, I'll see you later." She gave a final wave as she left, closing the door behind here.

Wonderful silence.

You allowed yourself a second to access the damage with a grimace. Plenty of dirt and snow had been tracked in, covering the ground in muddy slush, some of the guests were absolute slobs and left plastic cups and paper plates all over the workspaces and floor. At one point, someone had brought a ton of pizza and a few boxes still remained at a table. The empty ones were tossed in a sloppy pile in a corner of the room. All the alcohol that was brought over had been taken away thankfully, but you could definitely see some sticky spots were people had spilled.

Your one saving grace was you had sense enough to lock up the office before anyone came over. It was spotless and Kid's alcohol stash and paperwork remained untouched. The overall mess was pretty bad but just staring at it wasn't going to fix anything.

With a sigh, you got started. You'd been cleaning this workshop too often in the past few days and you hoped this was the last time you'd do it for a while.

Trash went first. Empty pizza boxes were tossed while the ones that were still full you kept. Maybe the guys would appreciate coming back to something to eat. Cups and plates went next and when all that was done, you made sure anything that was moved out of place went back to their spots. A few tools had been moved around and fiddled with for some unknown reason but at least none were stolen. Once that was done, you picked up the pace and began sweeping. There was no telling when the guys would get back and you wanted as much cleaned up as humanly possible before then.

You felt like a teen that got busted for partying while the parents were gone and more than anything, you were worried about this being a set back for you and Kid.

He did a lot of illegal stuff, you understood that. It should have bothered you, but in a way, you'd been eased into understand what exactly he and other gangs did around here. That being said, while you also understood to an extent why he put rules in place for you like he did, you weren't sure how necessary they were.

Sure, sticking around at the garage made sense. The place was clear and as far as anyone else would know, it'd also be empty. If people went looking for Kid's private, personal connections, they wouldn't be able to find you. He'd suggested before if someone were to search for you specifically, they'd find your home empty and, in theory, assume he had you with him. But was it really too much to have a few trusted friends over?

You knew he wouldn't like it but you figured he'd let it slide. That is if it was only Nami and the rest of her small group. You knew the second more people than them arrived, all hopes of Kid being okay with friends over went out the window. Most days, he tolerated Luffy and company at best, any one else around his property, his territory, would be too much for him.
