Part Forty Five-Call to Action

Ryuji POV
"This better be important" I think as approach Nezu's office and knock in the door

"Come in" I hear him say

I open the door and enter the room.

"Ah, Takashi. I'm glad you could make it. Come take a seat, would you like some tea?" Nezu asks

"Not this time. I would like to know what I was called here for" I say

"I called you here because you've been chosen for something. Well, it's more like I recommend you" he says

"What was I recommend for?" I ask

Nezu then slides me a folder. In the front it says M.I.H.O.

"What does M.I.H.O stand for? I've never heard of it before" I say

"Just give the folder a look" he says

I open the folder and read the front letter.

"This letter has been sent to Ryuji Takashi, AKA, Avenger. You have been selected for an experimental hero group known as M.I.H.O, Mobile International Hero Organization. You are fully able to decline this offer but it's in your best interest that you do accept. In this folder you will find who your teammates will be and where our main base of operations is. We certainly hope that you decide to accept this offer. But knowing the type of person you are I'm sure you'll make a decision that we will be pleased with" is what the letter says

"Your thoughts?" Nezu asks

"The acronym kinda sucks but other than that why would I decline an offer like this? It'll be just like the internships where I'm only gone for like a week or something-" I get cut off

"You'll actually be gone for the entire month of December and maybe a bit longer" Nezu says

I freeze.

"At least I'll still be in Japa-" I get cut off again

"You'll be flying over to America tomorrow morning if you accept" He says

I freeze one again. I've done a lot of things...But being in a whole knew country, basically alone, for an entire month is something that I haven't done before.

"Do you need some time to think?" Nezu asks

"No...I'd rather decide here and now. Just give me a minute to think about this" I say

This is an offer that comes only once in a lifetime. But I'll have to be gone for an entire month. Who knows what could happen, Midoriya could get a whole new quirk for all I know.

"Sigh...Oh what the hell. I'm sure that my class can survive without me for a month" I say

"Excellent! You have the rest of today to say your farewells and pack whatever you want to bring" Nezu says

I take my file and leave his office. I then make my way back to the dorms and as I'm waking I take a look at my teammates files.

"Team Name: The Protectors//Protectors" is what the first page says

"Sounds like a rip-off" I say

I then look at my first team member.

"Hey...I think I know this guy" I say
