Not my Sister (Y/N × G!p Aki)

Chapter 1: Wounded Child

"Aki-nee, hurry up or we'll get caught up in the rain." A 6-year old Nami was frowning deeply as she held into her mother's hand.

"Mom, Nami is being impatient again." pouted Aki as she tied her shoelaces. The three girls recently ate in a restaurant and were on their way home

"Now, now. Don't argue, you two." spoke the Mother as she looked for her car keys.

Aki finished her task and she held onto their mother's free hand.

"Let's go, mother."

The three got into the car and the young girls settled themselves on the backseat

"Aki-nee, give me this toy."

"No! I won this by chance. You're just unlucky that your meal doesn't have a free toy."

Nami whined to their mother and the woman sighed

"Aki, Nami, you should learn how to share your things. Aki, you are the eldest so you should be more considerate."

Nami stuck her tongue out at Aki and the latter pouted

"And Nami, you should try to get along more with your sister."

It was Aki's turn to smirk this time and Nami frowned

The heavy rain eventually fell and the mother turned on the car lights. It was getting a little difficult to see the road due to the night view and heavy downpour.

That's why, when there was trace of a person crossing the road, the mother instantly hit the brakes which sent the car to a harsh stop

Aki and Nami were sent leaning to the front and their mother immediately checked their condition

"Are you girls okay?" asked the Mother in a worried tone once the car halted

"H-Hai, mother. We're fine." answered Aki after she recovered from shock

"Stay here. I'm going to check whether we bumped into something."

The mother retrieved an umbrella and before going out, she made sure to lock the doors so Aki and Nami would be safe.

"Goodness.." a gasp escaped her mouth and her eyes slightly widened at the sight

In front of her was a trembling child, lying on the ground with bloodied clothes. The child has wounds on her arms which was definitely from the tree branches she stumbled upon

"Mother.. Father..." croaked the girl as she shivered. "Help.. someone.. they hurt us."

The mother immediately crouched down and she placed her hand on the child's forehead.

"She's burning up." uttered the woman in slight panic. With fastened movements, she went back to the car to retrieve some spare blanket

"Mother, what's wrong?" asked Aki as she noticed their mother in haste

"Are we in trouble?" added Nami

"No. You girls stay here."

The mother went back to the wounded child and she gently lifted her. She wrapped her with the spare blanket so she would at least be dried off

"Come with us. I can't leave you here alone in a dark and deserted road."

The child was not in the right state of mind to respond so she just let the woman carry her.

When the mother placed the girl on the passenger seat, the Aoi siblings stared at her in shock

"Mother, who is that?"

"This child is wounded. We have to take her back with us and at least heal her." responded the woman as she started the car again

Aki and Nami blinked upon hearing this and they directed their gaze on the trembling girl

"Why are her clothes bloodied?"

" And she's wounded?"

" I'm not sure but she seems to be escaping from something."

"Like, she is being chased by bad people?" Nami's eyes widened

"Possibly." replied the woman as she glanced to her side. The young girl was still trembling and was in a feverish state

When they reached home, the mother carried the child and she instructed Aki and Nami to gather some things

She laid the child on the couch and removed her clothes.

Aki retrieved a new set of clothes while Nami carried a basin with water

The trembling child was now properly dressed and the mother placed a cloth on her forehead, to lower down the fever. She also applied some medication to the child's wounds.

"Mother.. father..." the child uttered in her delirious state

"Mom, what will happen to her?"

"We will wait for her to calm down." replied the woman to Aki. "Until then, she will have to stay with us."
