-Emilia-

"I just don't know if I can trust him Ms. Sandra. What do you think I should do?" I sniffled, biting down on my thumb nail as I looked at the maid in front of me.

She just stood there with a laundry basket in hand, absolutely bewildered as she blinked at me, trying process the long rant that I had previously given her.

Normally, this would be a time to confide in Edna, but she hasn't been around for a while. A while ago, she flew back home to Italy to deal with some family problems and I don't know when she's coming back.

"Ms. Emilia, I just came in here to collect the laundry.." she replied softly, biting on the inside of her cheek and I groaned, tears leaving my eyes as I stared up at the ceiling.

"Look," she said, walking over towards me as she set the laundry basket down, sighing as she took a seat on my bed. I sat up, entering her arms as she hugged me, leaning my head on her shoulder.

"Out of all my years of working here, not once have I ever seen Mr. Fontana filled with so much happiness until you showed up to the estate. He was always so moody and angry for no reason, but then you came into his life and changed it for the better. He loves you Emilia, and from what you told me about all the secrets he kept from you, besides wanting to kill you, his intentions were to only keep you safe. He was just trying to protect you and your emotions." She said, my lip quivering as I blinked away a heavy tear that had fallen.

"Did he lie to you? Of course he did. Nobody likes liars. But you have to remember that he told you the truth, knowing that he was risking losing you. He told you the truth, knowing that there was a possibility you would no longer want to be with him, and yet, he still did it." She said, rubbing my back as I cried silently.

"What if he doesn't even want to be with me anymore? I literally broke his heart, left him and avoided him for a week." I frowned, the thought making me want to cry even more.

"Now that's just nonsense. He loves you Emilia, so much, and I believe that you love him too. You two are so in love with each other that I'm sure he would take you back in a heartbeat." She said, giving me a pat on the back and I nodded my head, wiping the tears off of my face with my sleeve.

"Now, I'm not forcing you to go see him. That's just not my place to tell you. But, whenever you feel that you are ready and do feel like you can trust him again, go see him. You need to stop avoiding him and talk to him. How can you make a relationship work if there is no communication between you two? He told you about the truth and communicated with you. Don't shut him out Ms. Emilia. Nothing good ever comes out of it." She said, running her hand up and down my back.

"Thank you for that. I needed it." I told her and she hummed, getting up from the bed as she bent down to pick up the laundry basket.

"Goodnight Ms. Emilia." She told me, resting the basket on her hip as she held onto the door knob with her free hand.

"Goodnight Ms. Sandra." I replied, my door closing after she turned off my light and I sighed, leaning backwards in my bed as I stared up at the ceiling through the dark lighting.

As I laid there, I just kept replaying everything that happened that day over and over in my head. The more I thought about it, his intentions with me had changed for the better. If he really wanted to kill me, he would have done it already. If he really wanted to kill me, I wouldn't be here right now, crying over the whole situation. I wouldn't even be alive to be crying in the first place.
