The Irresistible Attraction of Cecilia Cygue

After spending the rest of my winter break adventuring and hanging out with the kids, school started back up again! Which sucks, by the way. Okay, I'll be fair, I enjoy school, but I'm just barely hanging on at this point. One more semester and then I'll be out of highschool. Senioritus has hit me hard.

But Cecilia and I were finally able to set up a date, despite it being absolutely freezing outside. I'm actually really excited to see her today. I feel like it's been forever, though in reality it's been maybe 2 or 3 months.

I spent most of my morning preening, messing with my seemingly impossible hair, and doing everything in my power to conceal my eyebags. To no avail, but oh well.

I was dressed relatively casually. Straight-legged jeans, a tank top, one of Launchpad's jackets, and my signature ponytail. I got a text, presumably from Cecilia, and I did a one-over in the mirror, before grabbing my backpack.

"I'm here," Cecilia texted.

I grabbed my keys, pulled my backpack over my shoulder, responded, and then made my way downstairs.

Mrs. Beakley gave me a knowing look as I headed down the foyer stairs. I grinned sheepishly.

"I assume you'll be following Donald's curfew rules?" She questioned.

I nodded. "Yerp. 9:30PM sharp."

She gave me a curt nod, discreetly searching me with merely her stare. I saw her recognize the knife in my pocket. "No thigh holster?" She questioned.

I shrugged. "Too obvious if I'm in pants."

She nodded, seemingly satisfied. "Have fun."

"Thank you! I will!" I told her, heading out the door.

I looked to my side, and saw Cecilia nonchalantly leaning against one of the pillars. She smirked at me. I noticed the dyed streak of her hair was more vibrant than the last time I saw it. Her eyeliner was straight, with purple eyeshadow dusting her eyelids. She had on her leather jacket, and some tight black leggings, along with a Featherweights T-shirt.

"I was beginning to worry that crazy uncle of yours was holding you hostage," She joked.

I laughed nervously. "The funny thing is, I don't know which Uncle you're referring to."

She handed me a motorcycle helmet, and I took it, confusion evident on my face.

"What?" She questioned, "Did you think we were walking?"

I shrugged. "I just didn't expect you to drive your precious motorcycle, is all."

"Only the best for you, babe," She flirted.

I rolled my eyes, a blush creeping onto my face. "Gross," I commented, as she led me down to the bike.

She hopped on the bike, and I followed suit. I froze as she put her helmet. She chuckled.

"You can wrap your hands around my waist. Don't be shy," she teased.

I laughed sheepishly. "Sorry, haha, I don't exactly do this often," I put the helmet on and wrapped my arms around her waist.

She revved the engine a bit, and the gates opened. She sped off, and into town we went.

We made it into Downtown Duckburg when my phone rang. Cecilia pulled over, and I answered the phone.

"Hello? I'm kind of in the middle of something," I answered, sounding harsh.

"Marí, I need a huge favor. Can you finish my shift for me?" Indy, my coworker, asked.
