"So I was thinking" we are sitting in the pound feeding the turtle ducks, it has become a ritual every evening we sit here, mostly in comfortable silence, sometimes he tells me stories from his childhood, sometimes I tell mine,

It has been two days till the meeting, Aang and Katara left for a small trip, they will be back before the visit to the colonies, "You are always thinking" he teased,

"You want me to stop thinking?" I asked wrapping my arms on my chest, with a frown, "No...no I didn't say that I said that you always are, no one told you to stop" he chuckled,

"You know what never mind from now I will keep my thoughts to myself" he wrapped his arm around my shoulder, "Ryu don't do that to me, what will be the point of having a partner if you stopped talking" he kissed my cheek,

I threw a piece of the breed to the ducks, "Ryu just say it", I threw another piece in the pound,

I looked back at him, "Well since you said the magical word I will"
he chuckled, "Thank you, my lady"

"I wanted to ask you if I can bring some changes to the interior of the palace?"

"Why you want to do that?" he asked, pulling his arm away,

"It's just the start of a new era we are changing the world why not change our home too, other than that it is now our home, I want to make it ours, and like you told me you have a lot of bad memories here, maybe change of view helps" I randomly listed the reasons,

"Ryu you can, I don't have an issue with it, but don't you think you are taking too many projects, you just joined Harmony project, you are running the palace, now you want to start this project, I don't want to put this much pressure on you this fast"

"Zuko don't worry, I can handle it, other than that I am not alone I have Kai and Jun"

"Who is jun?" he asked,

"That girl you asked to show me my chamber the first day, I like her I made her my assistant"

"The girl with the scar on her neck?" he asked, I nodded,

"So what changes do you want?" Kai asked we are sitting drinking tea, "There is too much red I want to add different colors"

"Royal palace has always been red, don't you think that will be a big change," Jun asked,

"No I don't, I am not changing the walls, I am talking about the curtains and decorations and other furniture that can cut all this over welcoming red, like whites, light blues, light orange, baby pink"

"Okay, so there is no major work If we are only making small changes," Kai said grabbing a biscuit,

"I don't know, means I think there won't be, we will start to from my chambers so I have an idea of what I want before exploring rest of the palace, maybe there will be major constructional changes, I am not sure right now"

"When is your visit to the colonies?" Kai asked, "Tomorrow Aang and Katara will come back, so maybe the day after that"

I stood up, "Ladies now if you excuse me I have training with Jiang, he is probably waiting for me," I said walking out,

I have been talking to Jiang but not that much, I don't know what to say, I am kind of worried that I will say something wrong and that will destroy my friendship with not just him but Kai too, it is a risky game we are playing, I can lose everything,
