Reader's POV

This morning's class really in Defence Against the Dark Arts sucked. Professor Snape was our teacher, not Professor Lupin.

He discussed about werewolves. But we were supposed to learn about Red Caps and hinkypunks. This was odd.

And he even had us write a two parchment essay on recognizing werewolves, which was to be handed on Monday morning.

Gosh.

I immediately dashed all the way to the Ravenclaw common room to write my essay.

"Oh boy," I said under my breath, grabbing two parchment paper and my quill and ink. "Now where do I start?"

As I was about to write down my first idea on a scratch paper, I suddenly saw Madam Pomfrey, the matron running hurriedly with a potion in the hall.

I went out. I spotted Cho Chang, a fellow Ravenclaw and was a year ahead of me and Harry, Ron and Hermione.

"Hey Cho!" I exclaimed, walking towards her.

She turned her head. "Hi (y/n!)"

"What's all the fuss about?" I asked eagerly.

"It's Professor Lupin," she said quietly. "He's in the hospital wing; he was bleeding and he had a weak leg. It's the first time I've seen him this day. I wonder why."

"Oh, I, I don't know," I lied, keeping my promise to Professor Lupin that I'll not spill his secret. "I better go to him. Right now!"

I ran all the way to the Hospital Wing, my face full of worry. I immediately forgot about the essay, my mind was now focused on Professor Lupin's condition.

I hope he'll make a full recovery.

I entered the hospital wing. He was there, lying in bed while Madam Pomfrey was tending to his wounds and giving him a vial of an unfamiliar potion.

"Miss Bell!" Madam Pomfrey yelled once she saw me. "You aren't supposed to be here! Professor Lupin needs to rest!"

I frowned and prepared to reach for the door.

"Wait!"

I turned my head at Professor Lupin's direction, a bit confused.

"Madam Pomfrey, don't let her leave. Besides, I could use a little company today." Professor Lupin insisted, his voice weak from his transformation last night.

Madam Pomfrey rolled her eyes. "Alright. Miss Bell, you can stay here." she said as she left the two of us alone in the Hospital Wing.

"It's good to see you (y/n); now that you're here by my side." Professor Lupin sighed.

"It's good to see you too Professor Moony!" I told him cheerfully, sitting by his side.

"How was the lesson in our subject?" Professor Lupin asked me. "Did Professor Snape discuss about Red Caps and Hinkypunks?"

I paused for a few moments but finally said. "Er no, we discussed about werewolves. He even asked what was the difference between an Animagus and a werewolf. Odd. Really odd. And worst of all, he made us do an essay on recognizing them."

The professor's eyes widened as I said this. Just by looking at the expression of his face, I knew exactly what he was thinking: what if everyone in the school finds out that he is a werewolf himself. A dangerous creature that wizardkind viewed as nothing but scum.

"Professor." I said.

"Hmm?"

"Do you think that the lesson about werewolves has something to do about Snape exposing your condition to the whole shcool?" I asked, alarmed.

He just shook his head, and chuckled.

"No," he answered, still chuckling. "What makes you even think that?"

"Professor, remember what you told me the other night? During your school years at Hogwarts, Harry's dad was the leader of the Marauders and his sidekick was —"

I stopped at this, I looked around, making sure that the coast was clear.

"Sirius Black," I whispered to his ear and then I continued. "And they used to bully students often, mostly Professor Snape. Did you ever participate? You know, in the bullying?"

"No, I did not. I tried to stop them, but I always failed to do so." Professor Lupin confessed.

"That's probably the reason why he's harsh on Harry," I pondered. "And Professor! You've got to stop Snape! He might be doing this to kick you out of the school! And all of the people here know that Snape always wants the Defence Against the Dark Arts position, I think that's why he taught us about werewolves! We got to tell Professor Dumbledore!"

I immediately sprang up from his hospital bed, heading for Professor Dumbledore's office.

"(y/n)!" Professor Lupin hollered, grabbing my hand tightly. "Don't tell Dumbledore!"

"Why?" I asked. "Snape, he's trying to sack you! Professor Lupin, you're the best Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher we've ever had!"

"(y/n) listen," he told me. "Even though it seems that way, what if it's not true. Leave Snape alone."

"But-"

"No buts, now I want you to go back to your dormitory and finish your essay," he said both calmly and seriously. "Look, I'm not disappointed, but I'm just concerned for you own good, what if you get expelled?"

I thought at this, and I realized he was right. "I'm sorry Professor."

"Oh, I forgot," he laughed, and he gave me a bar of chocolate. "Here, take this with you."

"But Professor you'll need it for yourself." I told him, hesitating.

"It's alright, you need energy while writing your essay." he smiled at me.

I nodded and took the chocolate and put it in my pocket. "It was nice talking to you again Professor Moony!"

"It was nice talking to you as well my little witch." he smiled once more as I left, and rumpled my hair with affection.

I left for my dormitory. Luckily I was alone there.

I let out a scream of delight, and fell on my bed, my cheeks flushing red.

A/n: wazzup people I'm back! You thought that you would see the last of me, and alas I have returned. I hoped you enjoyed this chapter, it took me days for writing the first draft. Not gonna lie I was really blushing while writing this!
