ignorance is bliss!

THE NEXT MORNING, Lily woke up, showered and put on a cosy sweater. She was yet to learn of all the Potter-Weasley-Granger traditions: communal dinner and the tree being two, but there was still much more for her to experience.

She quite liked it at the Potter's house. It was cosy, but still had room. The people there were also quite lovely.

Out of the adults, she got along with Molly, Bill, Hermione & Ginny the best. But, she found that she had very interesting conversations with Fleur in French ( which Fleur was very grateful for because even though she lived in a mostly English speaking household, it was still a bit confusing for her ).

Lily, someone who was, frankly, motherless, was in heaven. She had two dads and while they tried their best and bought all of the parents books known to man, nothing replaces the knowledge of a mother passed down. But, her parents were amazing and she wouldn't ask for it to be any different.

Molly liked to braid Lily's hair ( as Ginny would no longer allow her to ) while they talked with other members of the family. Lily Luna would never let her touch her hair and the other girls thought they were too old. Lily didn't mind, however, the way her hands ran through her hair made her feel calm and at peace.

Ginny loved to explain quidditch to Lily and liked to talk about how unfair it was as a female player and a mother. She also discussed strategies based on Arithmancy, helping Ginny come up with some for the new year.

Obviously her and Hermione got along like a house on fire. They talked about everything from how awful Divination was to how amazing Hogwarts: A History is. They bonded over their mutual failure of foresight and how stupid the boys around them were.

Lily often asked Bill about his many tattoos and adventures, becoming fully engrossed in how exciting his life was. She loved how joyous he was and how laid back. She noticed that a lot of the greater Weasley family were quite lively, but Bill was much calmer.

Out of everyone, she hadn't really spoken to Harry. Probably because he weirded her out a little bit ( but all three of the Potter children reassured her that him not talking was weird, that he didn't hate her and that it was probably because of the coincidence of James and Lily's names ).

Determined to make him like her ( because she was still not convinced and had an incessant need for people to like her ), skipping down the stairs ready to talk to him, but found that everyone was gathered in the living room, or rather Albus, Rose and Scorpius.

Harry was standing in front of them showing them a wand movement. The more she watched, the quicker she realized it was the patronus charm. She remembered that it wasn't taught at his time at Hogwarts, but they integrated it into the 6th year curriculum.
