"I like you too, Winter," Nate said, his expression serious.

"Wh- What?" I asked, feeling a bit uncomfortable. What I said about liking him did not come out right.

"I said I like you too," he replied with a shrug as if the information shouldn't bother me.

"Why?" I blurted out, getting more curious by the second. This was so weird.

"Because you're fun," he said in an as-a-matter-of-fact tone. "And beautiful and honest and straightforward."

I blushed furiously at the comment and looked him in his beautiful brown eyes. They stared at me right back and I blushed even more, if that was even possible.

"And I'd really like to kiss you right now," he said with sincerity lingering on every word.

I couldn't speak and breathe. He wanted to kiss me. This beautiful boy wanted to kiss me.

"I--," I started to say but stopped when I realized that he was leaning toward me.

I let my eyes flutter shut and patiently waited for the soft collision of lips but it never came. Instead, a soft chuckle could be heard and when I opened my eyes, I saw Nate slowly fading. A blur of the beautiful boy in front of me greeted my eyes.

"Too bad this isn't real," he said with a smirk on his face. "Now, get up, we need to get to England."

My eyes fluttered open and my heart was hammering inside my chest. Fuck dreams. I panicked at the realization that I had dreamt of Nate and I almost kissing and got up, only to drop to the floor with a grunt.

"Ow," I said as I clutched my head and laid completely on the floor.

I needed a shower.

I squeezed the remaining clothes inside my luggage, not bothering to fold them neatly. Today was the day I'll be going back home with Nate and I'm absolutely annoyed. There were still 3 days before the holidays but my dear, dear mother cannot even reconsider that fact.

"You ready?" Nate asked as he peeked through the doorway of my room and I could feel my heart beat faster. When did he get here?

"Yeah," I answered, trying to sound calm. "I just need to freaking close this."

He walked toward me, his footsteps echoing inside my quiet room and kneeled beside me.

"Here, let me help," he said. He looked good, wearing a white shirt, a brown coat and dark denim pants. His scarf was hanging loosely from his neck and I just had to fix it. I clutched the soft fabric and put it around his neck but not before my fingertips touched his jaw.

He glanced at me and smiled. "Thanks."

"Sure," I said as I blushed. What was wrong with me today? It's probably the glass of wine that I had earlier and that freakishly weird dream I had last night.

"There, it's closed," he said with a triumphant smile that made my stomach flutter. "Come on."

He grasped my luggage at the same time I did and I just to gasp from the contact of our hands. It was minute but it was still there, the tiny electric shocks.

"I'll get it," he said and smiled at me but then noticed something that got his attention. "Hey you're all red."

I was stunned that he even pointed that out and at the same time, really, really, embarassed. "What? No."
